"Rozalina! Your cat has murdered my rug!" I ran down the stairs as Alexander yelled from his room.

"Sorry Alexander! I'll clean it up lat- Oof!" I tripped and landed on my face. Shit. I felt the blood slip down my arm. Lifting it to my face I saw a small gash gracing my bicep.

"You ok?" Bram appeared beside me, taking my arm in his hands.

"Yeah, its just a small cut." He smiled and wiped the beads of blood from my arm. "I got a little on the carpet, your brother is going to kill me."

"Nah, I think he likes your blood." Bram winked and I gagged. "I'll clean it up later, promise."

"Thank you Bramy." I smiled. He blushed and turned away, picking up my bag.

"C'mon, time for school." He said mocking enthusiasm.

"Yippee." I sighed. Bram wrapped an arm around my shoulders and steered me out of the house and toward his car. "I wonder if we'll see the new kids today." I said casually, sliding into the leather upholstered car.

"Why do you ask?" Bram said, eying me.

"I guess some of them were kinda cute." I said winking. Bram laughed and pulled out of the drive way. The drive was quiet, peaceful. I reveled in this time with Bram. I consider him a brother. Looking in his direction I smiled softly. The parking lot was packed, Bram almost ran a kid down because the freshman wasn't paying attention. Grabbing our bags from the back we walked up the steps together. I saw Ashley and Mike watching us, I looked down and kept going.

"I know you miss them Li-"

"Look Bram, I'm doing this for their safety, I don't need you trying to make me feel better." I interrupted.

"I know." He muttered. I walked into first period and sat in the back corner, like always. When the late bell rang students shuffled in, the buzz of conversation deafening. I heard someone walk into the classroom and a hush swept over the crowd. I glanced up and saw the small girl with enormous blue eyes.

"Can I help you?" Mrs. Lincoln asked. She nodded and handed a printed sheet of paper, probably her schedule to the older woman. Our teacher smiled at the paper and then turned to the class.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is Collette Winters." She motioned to the girl. A chorus of murmuring ensued. "Would you like to say anything about yourself Ms. Winters?" Collette shook her head. "Well alright. Please choose an empty seat." Her eyes swept the room and landed on the desk next to mine. She clenched her small hand around the strap of her bright pink backpack and made her way to the back of the room. Sliding into the chair she shot a timid smile my way. I smiled back and extended my hand.

"Hi. I'm Rozalina." She took my hand and shook.

"Collette, it's a pleasure to meet you Rozalina."

"You can call me Lina." Her face split into a wide grin.

"Nice to meet you Lina." I smiled and turned to the front. As soon as the bell rang for us to move to next period I turned to her.

"If you want to have lunch a friend of mine and I sit outside under the gigantic oak tree."

"I'd love to. Thank you." Her eyes brightened. I pointed Collette to her next class and made my way to my own. Waiting inside were the attractive older brothers. I slid into my seat as the red head's eyes followed me.

"Class." Mr. Everett hushed the class. "This is Spike," he gestured to the brown haired boy, "and this is Garth." My eyes landed on the incredibly handsome boy.

"Pleasure, a real pleasure." He said in a silky voice. I swear I could hear all of the girls swoon.

"Well boys please grab a desk." Garth flashed a charming smile and saunterd toward me. Spike sat in the desk in front of me while Garth sat behind me. I turned and arched an eyebrow.

"Someone sits there." A grin creeped onto his face.

"Yeah I know, I am." I rolled my eyes.

"No I mean that's someone else's desk."

"Its mine now sweetheart." I growled and turned to face the front. I could feel Garth's eyes on he back of my head. I almost screamed hallelujah as the bell rang. Gathering my supplies I ran out of the room like a bat out of hell. I heard a throaty chuckle behind me. The next two periods flew by and finally time for lunch. I sat at my usual table as Bram sat beside me.

"That Garth kid is going to get his ass kicked." Bram said, sliding a can of Dr. Pepper in front of me.

"I'm tempted to do it myself." I replied snapping the tab on the can. He smiled at me and started unwrapping a sub sandwich. I spotted Collette's pale blonde head in the crowd and waved her over. She smiled and lead the other blonde sibling toward the table.

"I hope you don't mind, I brought my brother. This is Seth." The boy waved and plastered a goofy smile on his face.

"Thats fine. Collette, Seth, meet Bram." I said gesturing to the vampire going down on a ham and cheese sub. Both siblings smiled and nodded at him. Bram swollowed and smiled, a piece of ham stuck in his teeth.

"Hey there." The two blondes sat down and we entered into a blissful conversation.

"Would ya look at that Spikey." Garth said, turning toward his "brother".

"They've already managed to slither into Rozalina's group of friends." Spike nodded.

"I'd like to slither into her in other ways if you catch my drift." The boy winked. Spike chuckled and sipped from his bottle of water.

"If all goes as planned you'll have a your chance to slither all over her."

"That is true." Garth licked his lips. "Oh this is going to be quite fun Spikey my boy." The red head clapped his friend on the back and went back to watching the girl he couldn't wait to get his hands on.
