System Failure

No One's POV

Entrapta was sleeping on one of her workbenches, as she was drooling a little bit on the bench. Her eyes fluttered open for her to sit up, and she noticed that she had a blanket on her. She looked at the blanket for her to raise an eyebrow, "I don't remember that." She then heard grunting noises to her left, so she looked in that direction to see Kanine and Ella doing push-ups. Entrapta got up to walk to the two, "Why are you two exercising first thing in the morning?"

Kanine continued his workout as he looked up at the inventor, "It wakes us up."

Entrapta pulled out her recorder with her hair, "Log. Day 103. 104? No, definitely 103. My acquaintances seem to work out as soon as they woke up today."

Kanine shook his head, "We do it every day. You're just usually asleep when we get up."

Entrapta nodded, "Ohhh, how long do you guys work out for?"

Kanine thought for a moment, "Around two hours."

Entrapta's eyes seemed unaffected by this information as she continued to watch. Sometime later, Ella was sitting on the ground drinking water as Kanine continued doing push-ups. Entrapta was having a conversation with Kanine for her to ask, "How are you able to keep going?"

Kanine was sweating, "You don't have the proper weights to put on my back. So it's a little easier." Entrapta brought herself up with her hair and sat on Kanine's back. The young man looked back at her, "What are you doing?"

Entrapta seemed like what she was doing was expected, "Well, I'm weight and can balance on your back. I thought that this would help." Kanine let her stay as he continued doing what he was doing.

Not soon after, Ella got up for Entrapta to look at her and sign, "Where are you going?"

Ella responded with, "Going to the cafeteria. Really hungry."

Entrapta pointed to a table that looked like a phone, "That has a map of the castle in it. Use it to get to the cafeteria." Ella gave a thumbs up to grab the device and head on out.

45 Minutes Later

Entrapta was in front of multiple screens in front of her, both big and small. There was a stand in front of her for her to be doing something on the screen next to her to point towards a drawer in a workbench, "If you don't mind, Kanine, grab a green triangle thing from in there."

Kanine did what Entrapta asked of him to ask, "How are Ella's hearing aids?"

Entrapta put the First One's artifact into the stand in front of her, "I'm having a machine build them. I've put in all the coding and everything needed to make them. It should be done at some point today." A small robot entered the room with a food tray to set it on the table next to Entrapta. She lifted the cover to show a small cake shaped like a pink pig and a colorful drink. Entrapta's eyes sparkled as she grabbed the miniature pig, "A pig. So cute." She ate it to begin drinking the fizzy juice.

Kanine looked confused, "Was that your breakfast?"

Entrapta looked back at him, "Hmm, oh yeah."

Kanine raised an eyebrow, "You should have a nutritious breakfast. With some meat, eggs, and milk."

Entrapta raised her glass, "Fizzy juice is good for breakfast."

Kanine looked at the glass, "What's fizzy juice?"

Entrapta explained, "Imagine fruit but in liquid form and all bubbly. It's really sweet, and the juice is not usually fizzy, but I like it that way. Try it." Entrapta handed him the drink, "It's peach and grapefruit." Kanine turned around for Entrapta not to see his face and took a sip of the drink for his ears to perk up as his tail wagged a little. Entrapta spoke into her recorder, "The wolf hybrid likes fizzy juice." She then put the First One artifact into a circular machine. Next, she looked at the screens in front of them, "First One artifact number 58 has yielded a treasure trove of intact code. If I could successfully translate it, it could hold the secrets of the First Ones."
