Prologue

No One's POV

It was a regular day as the army in the main horde base was as active as ever, as they were either training, loading trucks full of supplies to send to other base camps, and patrolling. In a locker room a tall teenage boy at the age of 17 was wrapping bandages around his upper arms and hands. He had white skin, short black hair that was unkept and wavy, grey eyes, grey wolf ears and wolf tail, and stood at 6'2 feet tall. He was quite well built and muscular as he had a scar on his right bicep and the tip of his left ear is chipped. He wore a tactical mast as it covered his mouth, nose, and cheeks, so you could only see his eyes, and he was wearing training gear. He soon hear a woman on the intercom, "All squadrons, report to training area immediately for evaluation." The man put on some training glasses, grabbed a long shield meant for training, and headed to the training area. 

He walked onto a platform for a woman the same age as him as she hadh long blonde hair in a ponytail, white skin, and blue eyes. She looked at the tall man, "Kanine, where's Catra?" 

Kanine looked down at Adora to shrug, "Don't know." 

Rogelio, A lizard man nearly the same height as Kanine. Then there's Kyle, a short boy with blonde hair, brown eyes, and white skin. As well as Lonnie, a woman nearly the same size as Adora with brown hair, green eyes, and brown skin all appeared at the same time. Adora looked at them all, "Psst, have you guys seen Catra?" They all shook their heads for Adora to sigh, "Not again." 

A Horde soldier then walked in front of them all, "At attention cadets. Your simulation is about to begin. Here's your scenario." A hologram then appeared in front of them giving them a visual of the situation, "You'll be passing through the treacherous Whispering Woods to reach the heart of rebel insurgency, Bright Moon. Your mission is to defeat the Queen of Princesses and liberate Bright Moon in Lord Hordak's name." The man looked at them all, "Where's Catra?"

Adora spoke up, "She'll be here I promise."

The man did not look like was convinced, "Mm-hmm. The Whispering Woods is full of princesses. Vicious, violence instigators." A large door opened behind him as walked to the side, "They will take you out if given the chance. Don't give it to them. Good luck recruits."

All of the recruits walked into the room as they turned on their training glasses. Adora noticed the first princess for more to show up as they started shooting lasers at the group. Adora shouted, "Look out!"

Lonnie, Kyle, and Rogelio ran behind cover using a tree for Kanine to get in front of Adora as he used his shield to block a laser shot by a princess in a tree, as it was heading towards Adora. He looked back at Adora, "Are you gonna take care of that princess or what?" Adora grabbed a training grenade from her belt to throw it dealing with the princess in the tree, and a few other princesses.

This created an opening for Adora to take the lead, "This way!"

The five ran through the fake forest for Kyle to be bringing up the rear. He had some trouble getting over a fallen branch to be shot by a laser and fall onto the ground. The others ran to his aid for Kyle to look at his chest and see a red X on it. He put his head back on the ground, "Aw, dang it."

Adora raised an eyebrow, "Seriously Kyle?"

Lonnie crosses her arms, "Bra-vo." The group then looked up to see a bunch of princess holograms getting ready to fire at them, "Seriously Kyle!"

The group blocked the lasers shot at them using small shields on their wrists, while Kanine to used his long shield. The remaining group ran towards the center of the forest for Kanine and Adora to be up front. Kanine looked down to see the floor panels, that both of them were standing on, turn red. He pushed Adora away, "Look out!" This prevented her from falling as Kanine jumped to the side avoiding the fall as well. A large decoy robot then came out of the ground from the center of the room for Adora to pull out a staff as she and Kanine ran towards the enemy. Kanine got in front of Adora to crouch as he put his shield in front of him slanted upwards slightly. Adora jumped onto the shield for Kanine to boost her up allowing her to on top of the robot as she swung with her staff to take out one of the lasers. As she took out the other (Y/N) charged with his shield in front of him to shield bash one of the robot's legs making it unbalance, as well as crack the shield a little. As the leg was in the air Kanine swung in a circle to hit the leg with the side of shield. This destroyed that bottom of the leg making the robot tilt and hit the ground immobilizing it, as well as breaking the shield as Kanine was now only holding the shield's strap. The recruit groaned as he looked at the broken shield. Meanwhile Adora penetrated the robot's head killing it, which made the head explode sending Adora flying to hit the ground.
