(Narrator's POV)
(Meanwhile in Gravity Falls)
"Hey Bro Bro! You want to come hang out with me and Soos?" Mabel Pines asked as she walked into the Mystery Shack only to find her brother Dipper Pines just finishing up his preparation for his date.
"Sorry Mabel. You know I have a date with Paz today." Dipper replied as Mabel rolled her eyes. While she was supportive of her brother's relationship with their once shared enemy, it felt like Pacifica had stolen Dipper away from her.
"You and her always go out on dates! Why not skip this one? Pretty sure Paz has plenty to keep herself busy." Mabel said as Dipper gave her a look.
"Listen. I get it: You don't like Pacifica. But she's my girlfriend and has been a major reason why I've been able to recover from the lunacy with Bill. So please just show some decency, alright?" He said as Mabel huffed.
"Hmph! She may be your girlfriend, but she's still the same selfish rich brat she's always been! I can't believe you're even dating her!!" She exclaimed as Dipper had finally had enough.
"Mabel, you are the LAST person to talk about being selfish! You forget: It was YOUR fault Weirdmageddon even happened! It was YOUR selfishness that forced me to give up an internship with Grunkle Ford! You've always only thought about yourself, so you don't have any room whatsoever to talk that way about Pacifica! Do you realize what I had to give up because of you?!? DO YOU?!?" Dipper snapped as tears fell from Mabel's eyes as she ran out of the Mystery Shack, sobbing.
"Finally I can get back to getting ready." Dipper said to himself as he continued to fix himself up for his date. Soon he was ready and there was a knock at the door.
"Hang on, Paz. Here I come." He said as he opened the door and there stood Wendy Corduroy, her arms crossed and a serious look on her face.
"Wendy? Why are you here? What's with the look?" Dipper asked as Wendy sighed.
"I just saw Mabel. You want to tell me why she was sobbing?" She asked as Dipper shook his head. Normally he'd have more than enough patience for Wendy but not this time. Especially when it came to Mabel.
"No. Nope. No way. I know what you're talking about and that's all on her. She's the one who wanted to badmouth Pacifica. So no. I'm not going to be swayed by the selfish tears of my sister." Dipper said in annoyance as Wendy put a hand to her temple.
"Look. I know Mabel's done a lot of stupid stuff and that stupid stuff affected you in a lot of ways. But you've given Pacifica a second chance and you legit called her the worst once. So why not Mabel, your own sister?" She asked as Dipper gave her look.
"Because I know my sister and what she's put me through. I know how she is and she'll always be like that. I've just learned to accept it. I'm sorry, Wendy. But I'm not apologizing this time. I have a date to go on." Dipper said as he walked past Wendy just as Pacifica arrived. After the two greeted each other, they left.
"Dipper….." Wendy said, clearly both disappointed and saddened by the cold and harsh words from Dipper.
One thing about Gravity Falls that always bothered me was how Mabel was never called out for her actions but Dipper always was. So that's why I had Dipper sound off on her here.
Anyway, we rejoin Steven and his family next chapter! See ya then!
