Carl's POV
I wake up on a creaky, but yet comfortable, couch. I thought I was in the woods? I could've been all a dream. This entire thing could've been a dream... but that means Jordyn never existed either.
I instantly frown.
I turn on my side, and I see my father-Rick-standing in the kitchen with a flush of fear on his face.
"Dad?" I ask nervously.
"Hey, Carl."
"W-what's going on?"
"Marie had the baby. You have a beautiful baby sister. Her name is Kiley."
"So... everything that's happened... has actually... happened?..."
"You must've been in those woods for way too long. Everything has happened, and there's more to come. But we'll be okay."
"Be okay?! Dad, a man that has tried to kill Jordyn has brain-washed her and turned her againist me! I have no friends left! If I were to die right now, no one would care! No one!"
"No one?!" he rises his voices. "What about me, or your new baby sister?! Just because your little girlfriend left, doesn't mean no one cares about you!"
"Yours did! At least mine is alive!"
I feel like I swallowed a pound of cotton balls.
"I still care about you, too," Foxface emeges from a corner's shadow.
My eyebrows draw together and eyes widen.
"Remember me? Because you look like a deer caught in headlights."
I want to say something, but a bubbling replaces its spot in my throat.
"No matter what happens in that arena, I'll always be by your side. We've been friends through it all, and that doesn't need to change now. Even though everyone else is split up, doesn't mean we have to. Nicole wouldn't have wanted this to happen; she would've wanted us... to be... happy she's dead."
"Happy? Happy?! Do you call this happy?! Everything since we went to Chandler's house has gone down-hill, and if it hasn't changed by now, it's not going to! Face the facts and open your eyes!"
I get a glass and throw it across the room, shattering as it collides with the wall. The sound of glass shattering fills my ears.
"Carl, calm down. You can't keep pulling that weight on your shoulders," Dad replies. "None of this is your fault-"
"Then who's fault is it, Dad?!" I reply. "Huh?!"
He doesn't reply.
"That's what I thought."
"You better watch your mouth!" He sneers.
"Why?! You can't control me! I can do whatever I want! I can live on my own, and I don't want anything to do with you or Kiley or Marie! Your none of my concern now! You turned your back on me when Mom died, and now you act like you can't talk to me until you decide to make another kid you can't take care of!""Carl," Foxface replies calmly, "you need to calm down. Everything is going to be alright. All we need to focus now is to survive these Games, and after that, I'll do whatever it takes to get you back to the way you were. When you were happy, and not... like you are now..."
"What is wrong with you?! I can't believe-"
Then every limb, thought, and or word that I control has gone blank, and I slump to the floor.

Jordyn's POV
Two more fights before Carl and I take our turn. I can't wait. It'll be payback for what he tried to do to me.
Ashton walks over to me.
"Nervous?" he asks, then flips his hair.
"No," I reply. "Not at all."
That's not entirely true.
"Good. You won't have any threatening competition."
"How would you know that?"
"I rescued you before he... y'know..." He looks over his shoulder, and I see him and Finnick sharing a glance. "Gotta go."
And he walks over to a tribute named Finnick, as of what it says on his training uniform.
I know he's lying about something. Everytime he lies, he leaves immediately before he can be questioned more thoroughly.
I stare to walk towards him, but a hand grabs my wrist, and I turn around to find Phillip-according to his name-tag-with one of his usual smiles.
"Everything ok?" he questions.
"Yeah... I'm fine..." I lie.
"Thought of any allies?"
"I can't really remember anyone here. What do you think?" I laugh a little.
"Oh. Just a help, we were friends before... what happened with losing my memory."
"Do you know how I lost it, then? Since your one of my friends."
"Well, your brain was altered a certain way to where it prevented-"
"Not like that. Why is my brain altered?"
He bites his bottom lip. He must know; he just doesn't want to tell me.
"That's for you to find out," he replies.
"Phillip Boling and Gabby Hills!" Ashton shouts.
"Gotta go," he charges toward the square-shaped arena. "Oh, and make sure you take notes on my moves."
He laughs and continues on his way. I don't know what to do. I wish I could practice, but I can't due to the child swimming inside me.
And soon as I mention it, a splash of water drops beneath me, as if someone squeezed a water balloon. But then I come to my senses. My water has broke.
