Carl's POV

I run my shoulder into the door again, and I end in failure again as well. I kick the door as hard as I can. The door doesn't open, and I'm pretty sure I just broke my toe.

I look around for anything that could help, and notice I forgot to take my pitsol out of waistband. I take it and fire at the doorknob, knocking the lock loose.

I jerk the door open. Jordyn sits on her bed safe and sound, but Peeta is laying on the floor, soaked in his own blood. The entire room is covered in blood, then my anxiety kicks in again.

I check Peeta's pulse to make sure. Nothing. He's gone. Then I check Jordyn's. Her heart is beating but a little too quickly. It increases instantly, and I begin to get worried.

I go to turn around to yell for a nurse, but I notice something in the corner of my eye. An open window. I jump over Peeta's body and look down. I don't see anything but a rope leading almost to the ground. I bend over a little more to see if anyone is on the rope. Not a soul in sight. Then I feel a set of hands slightly push me.

I flip and catch the rope a few feet below the window seal. I look up to see if I can see any faces, but I see nothing. I wait for a few seconds, then I finally see a figure. The figure is wearing all black, and is small in weight and height. Their hood covers their ski mask to where I can't see an inch of skin except for an inch or two around their eyes. Their eyes are a bright blue. That's all I can see.

I pull myself up little by little until I reach the window seal. The person covered in black is staring at Jordyn eagerly. I tackle them and punch them in the throat, but they quickly gain strength and roll on top of me. They pin me down but doesn't do anything else. They stare in my eyes, and I can't do anything to stop it. They slowly remove their hood of their head, then the ski mask. I can't even do anything but shout.

She kisses me slowly to shut me up, and I can't stop it. My hands and legs are useless.

"Foxface, let me go!" I shout.

She leans over and whispers in my ear. "Calm down, baby. I'm not going to hurt you."

"Let go of me!"

"Don't be afraid. We're together now." She smiles and our lips connect once more.

I shake my head viciously, and our lips are no longer touching.

"What's wrong, baby? We're together now. It's better now." (WALKING DEAD QUOTE RIGHT THERE!!!!)

"I'm not your baby! Jordyn and I are together! Leave me alone!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, but if Jordyn is going to get in the way of us being together, she has to go."

I reply after a few seconds, "What?...." My voice trails off.

"We were meant to be, Carl. Do you not see that? And nothing is getting in the way of that. I killed your friend by accident. I thought he was Jordyn," she giggles. "Oops."

"No! You're not going to touch her!"

Then a long, steady beep fills the room.

"Looks like I don't have to," she smiles.
