Jordyn's POV

"That's a beautiful name," replies the nurse.

"Thank you," replies Carl. "I agree."

He turns to me, and I instantly smile.

"Ok then. I'll be sure to sign those on the papers for you."

"You don't have to do that. I can do it," Carl replies as he turns back to the nurse.

"No. It's my pleasure. You guys look like you could use some privacy with your newborn baby boy."

I reply with a smile, "Thank you so much."

"Anytime."

She smiles and walks out.

"Happy yet?" I ask.

"Yes. I'm happy for everything I got. You, a beautiful baby son, and a new baby sister. Nothing could be better."

"Mary had the baby? Is she alright?"

"She's fine. Just really tired; that's all."

"Good. I want to meet... whatever gender it is."

We both chuckle.

"It's a girl, and her name is Kiley. Kiley Grace Grimes."

"Beautiful."

The doctor walks back in a little cautious.

"Hey. We need to run one more test on him before anyone else comes to visit."

"Of course," I reply.

I kiss Micah's head and hand him to the doctor gently.

"See you soon, buddy," Carl says as the doctor comfortably settles him in his arms.
The doctor presses his lips together to form a line and walks out.

"I hope everything is alright," Carl says as he kneels back next to me again.

"Me too. I'm gonna take a nap; I'm tired."

"Ok," he kisses my forehead. "Sweet dreams."

I smile and close my eyes.

I stand in the hallway, watching the doctor hand Micah over to Ashton. From loss of blood, I feel as if I might fall at any moment, but I don't care.

Ashton turns around as if he's on cue and says, "Looking for this?"

"Please don't take my child! Please!"

"What's in it for me?"

I pause for a few seconds.

"If you give him back to me, I'll... I'll let you kill me in the arena..."

"Deal."

When Micah is almost in my arms once again, Ashton takes a knife out and sticks it through his forehead and wickedly laughs. I fall to my knees and sob. Just like that, he is gone.

And I wake screaming.

"Hey... are you alright?" Carl says as he runs in the room.

"Where's Micah?!" I shout.

"He's still in the nursery."

I jerk the blankets off my legs and sprint down the hallway. Carl runs after me, but I'm too far up for him to catch me.

My feet instantly stop after I reach the nursery, and I see him in the second row. He twists and screams like a newborn baby would, but it makes me nervous.
