"You must be so lucky", I heard a woman's voice even before realizing where I was – back in the dark room. I didn't know the voice though. "I mean, a boyfriend who would not leave your side all this time or if he has to will make sure someone is looking after you often enough – He is so sweet."

Yeah, and he is mine. Who are you?

"Well, I hope you can hear us, I really do. Because it is so clear how strong his love is. He needs you."

Then why are you swooning over him?

"I remember when I was in hospital. My husband came every day."

Oh. You're married?

"Can you believe it? He has his full-time job and our kids had to be looked after and he still came every day. And I wasn't in coma."

Why were you here instead then?

"I only had to get my appendix removed. Nothing too serious but I had to stay longer for observation."

I see.

"And now I am still here. Simply because I work here", she laughed.

Oooooh, okay okay. So that's why you are in my room.

"However, I had told my husband about the two of you. He only smiled knowingly. And he wishes you all the best to get well soon. I promised to tell you that. And greetings to your boyfriend."

Well, thanks. I appreciate it.

"Okay, I'm done exchanging your liquids, I'll be going now. See you around."

Yeah, hopefully.

"Oh and... Don't worry. We're all very positive you'll wake up soon. You are doing so great."

Thanks, I guess.

I heard the door close and it went silent. The usual sounds of chattering, closing doors and steps on the hallway were not to be heard too, so I suspected it to be night. Until I fell asleep again, I stayed alone.

Sabrina almost stumbled over -or more into- the chair as she entered the cottage. She blinked confused. "Careful", I said even though it was a useless warning now, "I am rearranging the furniture." "Why?", she asked even more puzzled. "I have seen it long enough now. It's not that I don't like it, I just need some change or else I am going crazy. And what's left to do after endless bouquets, flower crowns, paintings and attempted poetry? What is a girl to do?", I explained. Sabrina shook her head grinning. "After I am done here, I might plant some of the wildflowers into the flowerbeds right in front of the porch. I want to have a good mixture out there. It looks nicer. The chair will go where the bed was and the bed to where the desk still is. The desk needs to be next to the chair then, but I haven't yet figured out where I like the shelf the best. What do you think?", I babbled on. "I think you don't need to turn this into a perfect home. I don't think you'll be staying that much longer", she smiled. I jolted up. "Can I return home?", I asked enthusiastically, only to frown as she shook her head. "You still have that one unanswered doubt", she shrugged, "But we are on the best way. I think I found the memories you still need now." "Good job then", I gave back. "Thanks", she chuckled lightly, "You too." I grinned proudly.

We sat on the porch together. I had finished rearranging my room and now was somewhat content with it. The next day I continued in the garden. I did plant some of the wildflowers closer to the cottage and put some of the cultivated ones in the back. I liked how it looked now, but I still didn't want to stay. After washing off the dirt from planting in the clear, cool stream, Sabrina had showed up to look at my work. "I like it", she now told me, "I really do." I smiled at her satisfied. "You know", she continued, "It's not really a secret anymore why you are here. But do you know where exactly you are?" I shrugged.

"Well", she continued as I leaned in closer, curious about what she had to say, "It's your soul. Not your heart, not your brain, it's your soul. Those are quite different things. And the fact that you are starting to rearrange things here will have an effect on your actual life. Your soul changes after all. The wildflowers you always hid in the faraway corners are part of your soul's core. You are starting to accept those parts. And I must say... I am proud of you." I blushed a bit. "Thank you", I mumbled.

I looked at the new view in front of me. So that was my soul. Interesting... I liked it. Geez, no one would believe me this. I chuckled before getting lost in thought as I realized something again, stronger this time. It made me look up at her. "But you played a big role in all this. Thanks for keeping me company." She waved it off with a smile. "I like having someone here for once", she reassured me, "But we need to get you out. Your life is not supposed to continue here. So, shall we go to look at the next memory?"
