Hey people! So, this is gonna be the last chapter of this book. I know its short, I'm sorry. There will be a sequel, but I'm going to go through and edit this book before I post the it. Hope you guys enjoy this chapter. :)
*Regina's POV*
It had been three weeks since summer began, and my mum and dad had to go back to Scotland today. Their bags were all packed and they stood in front of the fireplace with all of their luggage. I hugged each of them goodbye and my mum handed me a small wrapped box.
"What's this?" I asked, looking at it.
"Its for your birthday. I know its not till next week, but we won't be able to come back for it, so we wanted to give you this before we left. Don't open it until your birthday, alright?" she answered. I nodded and they picked up their bags and stepped into the fireplace. My dad grabbed a handful of floo powder and spoke my old home address before throwing the dust to the ground, letting the green flames engulf them, and take them away.

My twelfth birthday was pretty calm, thankfully. Mother wanted to have a huge party with tons of people, but I convinced her not to, and it was just me, Draco, and our parents. I had already opened most of my gifts. I had gotten a potions set from Draco, my own broomstick from Father, a Nimbus2001 no less, and a ring with the Malfoy family crest on it from Mother. Draco had one like it, but this one was more feminine.
I only had one left, the one from my mum and dad. When I opened the box, my eyes clouded with tears at what was inside.
My grandmother's locket, the one she wore all the time before she died when I was six, rested inside the box. My grandmother and I were very close, and when she died I had been extremely upset.
I gently picked up the silver locket and opened it up to find a picture of my grandmother and grandfather, who had died before I was born. They smiled at me and waved. The picture had been taken at their wedding, as my grandmother was still in her gown and my grandfather was still in his tux.
It was a beautiful photo, and I gently traced the outline of it, before closing the locket and fastening it around my own neck. I was glad to have something to remember my grandmother by, something of value that she had loved.
"May I see it?" mother asked from beside me, gesturing towards the locket. I nodded, and opened the locket, holding it up so she could see it.
"Are those your grandparents?" she asked.
"Yes. They're my mum's parents. I never met my grandfather, he died before I was born, but I knew my grandmother very well. She passed when I was six," I answered.
"I'm sorry. They look very happy," she said, smiling. I returned the smile and looked at the picture again.
"Yeah, they do."
I closed the locket again and let it rest on my chest.
Draco suggested we go outside and ride our brooms (he had gotten the same broom as me for his birthday), so we did. I don't know how long we were outside, but when we finally went back in, the sun was about to set.
I went up to my room and sat out on my balcony, looking out over the land of Malfoy Manor. My thoughts drifted from one thing to another, never staying on the same topic for very long.
Eventually I went inside and changed, and when I finally climbed into bed I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
Well, that's it for book one. I hope you liked it, and thank you to everyone who has read, commented, and voted for my story. As I said before, I will be posting the sequel once I've edited this one.
Luv ya!
