Draco's POV
That night, before I went to bed, I wrote to my parents. I decided to keep it vague, simply asking if they'd had a daughter.
I sealed the letter and gave it to my owl, who flew off into the night to deliver it.
I didn't expect an answer back till the morning, so I then put my things away and went to bed.

*next morning*
Regina's POV
When I entered the common room the next morning, Draco was at the bottom of the stairs.
Either he was waiting for me, or had just gotten down himself.
I suspected the latter, as I doubted he would've waited just for me.
But who knows?
As soon as he saw me he came over, telling me that he had written to his (or possibly our) parents last night, and would probably receive an answer this morning.
I nodded, then we left the common room to go get breakfast.
I was a bit surprised when he stayed with me the whole way and even sat next to me at breakfast. I mean, he does have his own friends.
I think...
I decided not to ask-he probably had his reasons.
About halfway through breakfast, the mail came, with tons of owls flying in and dropping letters and packages into the hands of their owners.
Draco's owl came and landed on the table infront of him, holding a letter.
He took it and the bird flew off.
Draco opened the letter and read it's contents before looking up at me.
"Well, first mother asked why I was asking, but she did say that I have- or had, as she said- a younger sister."
"She said she was kidnapped shortly after being born and no one knew who did it."
"So," I started, "I could be...your sister?" I asked hopefully. I'd always wanted a sibling, but had never had one.
"Yes. Malfoy isn't a common name. It's a pureblood name, so if that's your surname, then yes, you're my sister," he said, smiling.
I'd never actually seen him smile before. He doesn't often.
Just as I thought that, his smile faded from a grin to the smirk that always seemed to be on his face.
