Chapter 12

When Tom got there, Mattheo wasn't in the room, he was probably off somewhere trying to charm some Ravenclaw girl as he had been telling Tom multiple times, not that he paid much attention.

He immediately cast a silencing and a locking spell before he slid down onto the floor and let his emotion out. He needed some sort of release, so he got up and started smashing things around the room, desperately trying to rid himself of the pain. He couldn't believe he'd said that to her. He didn't want to break her heart, but the memories of the other girl had resurfaced and he just...he just couldn't love Aurora with the thoughts of his first love on his mind.

Tom stopped throwing things around and took a few breaths, trying to calm himself slightly. He then rushed over to his desk, pulled out his diary-the diary she gave him and began to write:

I love Aurora, but I've remembered another girl, my first. The memories are painful and I want to be rid of them. I want to show Aurora how I love her-even though I shouldn't feel, but how can I when the other girl is fresh in my mind? God damn it! I've hurt her and I hate myself for it, so much!

Tom then paused, before beginning to write in his diary. He wrote everything he felt in that momen, raw emotion leaking into the words. An endless flow of angry tears fell down his cheeks as he recalled what he had said to Aurora just minutes ago. 

One final tear slipped out of his eyes and onto the page, before there was a faint knock at the door. He quickly slammed his diary shut, cast a spell to clean the room, wiped his eyes and put on his expressionless mask. He then walked over to the door and removed the spells. He twisted the doorknob of the door and opened it to find Aurora. His eyes softened as he took in her appearance and his self-hatred grew.

"Tom. I don't believe you no longer love me and that you cared for another girl more than me. I'm truly sorry for what happened to her, but perhaps you can let me help you get your mind off of what was done to her?" Aurora spoke quietly. "No Aurora. I already told you, we're done I don't love you anymore!" Tom yelled at her, his expression hardening once again. "But-"
"Enough!" Tom cut her off and grabbed the arm of Pansy Parkinson who happened to be walking past after trying to find the source of noise.

Before Auora could get in another word, or Pansy could protest, Tom smashed his lips onto Pansy's who kissed back after the initial shock. Aurora's jaw dropped and her lips trembled, tears welling up in her eyes once again. Tom pulled back and glanced at Aurora "See? I don't love you" Tom said bluntly, before slamming his door in the distraught girl's face.
