Aurora and Asmodeous opened the door of the empty classroom they were in to leave, when they came face to face with none other than Mattheo Riddle. Aurora's eyes widened and she struggled to say something. Sensing her shock, Asmodeus decided to speak up. "Riddle. Any particular reason why you're stood behind this door?" He asked calmly.

"I heard everything" Mattheo answered and before he or Asmodeous got another word in Aurora raised her wand and muttered "obliviate!" She removed from his memory everything he had heard but didn't remove the fact that he was suspicious of them, because she knew Tom would find out. Rather, she left his suspicion there and only left the memory of him following them but not being able to hear anything they said and just getting interrogated by herself and Asmodeous for trying to listen in on them. Then the twins disapparated.

A month later

Aurora had spent the past month trying to avoid Tom at all costs. She had been successful, yet she feared he grew suspicious of her behaviour and her theory was proven correct when he cornered her in the library a week before the Halloween Ball. Asmodeous was busy practicing quidditch while she had decided to get her mind off of Tom by reading.

When she had entered, she had moved to the furthest armchair in the library, by the restricted section. She'd picked up the first book she saw and scoffed as she recognised it to be a romance novel. Aurora had immediately replaced the book and found one on the dark arts. She had read that particular book numerous times, and mastered all the spells and counter spells.

So she had sat for the past hour and a half, staring blankly at the pages of the book, her mind drifting to a place she wished it wouldn't. When she had heard the sound of footsteps approaching, she snapped out of it and was relieved that she was no longer seeing those memories until... "Good Evening Miss Black."

'Oh shit' she thought, instantly recognising the voice of the boy she was trying to avoid. Tom Marvolo Riddle. "Riddle" she acknowledged without looking up in an attempt to mask the longing that she knew would be evident in her eyes if she raised her head. "It's rather impolite to not make eye contact with someone who Adresses you" Tom spoke, hiding the frustration he felt.

After all, he had been intrigued when the twins had arrived just over a month ago. He didn't know what it was but he felt some sort of pull towards the female twin.  Yet, after he had been introduced, she left suddenly, her twin following, and since then she had avoided him. It wasn't like he could forget anyways, given that the pain in his chest was persistent. He had seen Asmodeus around but everytime he found Aurora, she'd disappear before he could make his way over to her.

It didn't take a Ravenclaw to figure out they were hiding something. Tom had made multiple attempts to get Asmodeus talking but failed everytime. He knew the twins were smart and powerful, but he didn't think they would have mastered occlumency to the point where their minds were completely fortified.

So he decided to try a new tactic. He'd wait until the pair was seperated and then confront Aurora. It wasn't easy as they would go everywhere together, but somehow fate was on his side and now he was exactly where he wanted to be. "Aurora!" He spoke suddenly causing the girl to break out of the trance she had fallen into once again.

Aurora sighed and closed the book that was balanced on her lap, before slowly lifting her gaze. Her eyes now revealed no emotion as she met his forest green orbs and yet her mind was screaming at her in protest. "What is it that you want Riddle?" She asked monotonously. "I'd like to know why you have been avoiding me since we met" he questioned.

"Because I don't like you" she lied. "I may not be able to get into your head darling, but I can tell you're lying. So what is the real reason?" Tom asked arching his right brow. Aurora knew he'd never leave her alone until she told him and frankly, she was still struggling to hide her emotions.

"I'll tell you the truth. But not here. I don't want to risk being heard by eavesdroppers. Meet me in my dorm in 15 minutes" Aurora told him, before getting up and walking past him to leave. 'I'm going to tell him the truth Asmodeus.'
