As they were talking, Mark noticed that even if Chenle and Renjun were speaking verbally, they still signed to make sure Kyungmi didn't feel left out. The sight warmed his heart but he could only imagine how difficult it was.

"Anyways, we should get back to class." Renjun got up, Chenle following him. "umi, you have to go to building A right?"

"Yes. I have no clue where it is though."

Renjun sighed. "Does anyone know how to get to building A?" Jaemin heard the question and a mischievous smile made its way onto his face. "Oh wow what a coincidence! Mark has a class that way, I'm sure he could show you Kyungmi!" Renjuns eyes sparkled as he relayed the message to Kyungmi while Mark was silently cursing Jaemin in his head.

Everyone else from the table got up, effectively snapping Mark out of his downward spiral. Kyungmi tapped Mark on the shoulder, tilting her head to the door.

Mark jumped kind of startled but got the hint nevertheless. "Uh- um ya. We can go."

The pair walked out of the cafeteria, making their way to the A building. As they were walking, Mark saw Kyungmi pull her phone out of her hood pocket, making Mark's phone ding.

Kyungmi

so

how far is the building?

Mark frantically pulls out his phone, immediately reading the message.

Mark

um not super far

I know a shortcut we can take

Kyungmi

thats good

I don't like walking

Mark chuckled.

Mark

ya same here

thats why I found the short cut haha

Kyungmi let out a small sigh, making Mark worry. Had he done something wrong?

Kyungmi

you don't have to text me you know

I actually prefer it if people talk to me face to face

Mark

really?

is it not difficult?

Kyungmi

It can be sometimes but I've gotten pretty good a reading lips

and as long as you're not talking a million miles a minute I should be fine.

Mark slowly nodded, lifting his head from his phone to look at Kyungmi. "So... what are you taking?"

"I'm in biomedical science."

Mark's jaw dropped. "No way. That program is practically impossible to get into! How did you pull that off?"

Kyungmi chuckled. "I was honestly surprised too. I applied to it thinking I had no chance."

Out of nowhere, Mark's eyebrows furrowed. "Wait, why are you going to the math building, most of your classes should be in the science one." Kyungmi let out an annoyed huff. Mark thought she looked absolutely adorable. "I have a physics class. I thought I avoided this damn class but it became a new prerequisite. The class is impossible. I don't know how I'm going to pass it."

Mark's eyes lit up as he gasped. "I'm a physics major! Well kind of, I'm in astrophysics but still. I can help you if you want?" Mark loved physics. During high school, it was the class he always looked forward to making all his friends call him insane. Well, most of them. Donghyuck constantly called him a geek which Mark always denied. Eventually, he learned to embrace it and called himself a cool geek... which in hindsight made him sound even nerdier (his friends still make fun of him to this day).

Mark immediately saw Kyungmis shoulders perk up as a smile graced her face. "Are you serious?" He nodded enthusiastically. "You're actually a lifesaver Mark." Mark's head shot up once he read the message.

Kyungmi obviously saw the blush blooming on his face as she gave Mark a fond smile. Before Mark could embarrass himself more, Kyungmi turned around to see her classroom. "This is my stop, I'll see you soon?" Mark slowly nodded, still slightly dazed. Kyungmi shook her head affectionately before giving Mark a small wave, walking into her class.

Mark stood there for a couple seconds before hitting himself in the head. He had just met this girl but was already affected so much. He needs to get a grip otherwise he is going to seriously embarrass himself.
