Mark was the captain of the senior boy's soccer team at their university. Kyungmi has no idea how he manages being a captain with all his school work, but Mark seems to be handling it well so she doesn't say anything.
He talks about it constantly and has even asked Kyungmi to play with him (that's never going to happen and Kyungmi will make sure of it).
Mark passively mentioned how he was playing a game this Friday at their home field. He wasn't sure if it was a subtle way to invite Kyungmi or just Mark talking mindlessly as he usually does.
By chance, Chenle asked her to go because Jisung was playing, and said because Mark was playing she wouldn't be opposed to coming. Kyungmi rolled her eyes at the comment but didn't deny it.
So technically Mark didn't invite her, but she hoped that he wouldn't be angry if she showed up.
The teams were now warming up and it looked like Jisung and Mark were looking for someone in the stands. He assumed they were looking for Chenle as Jisung was practically bouncing on his feet.
The two players were looking around until Mark pointed at the two with a confused expression, which quickly turned into an overjoyed one.
Without thinking, Mark signed "Umi?! You came!" Before he realized what he did the coach called them over to talk once more before the game started.
The cute greeting made Kyungmi smile, but she quickly did a double take. She turned to Chenle, hitting his knee. "Did he just sign that or am I seeing things?"
Chenle's eyes widen and takes a mental note to tell Mark to be careful otherwise he is going to ruin his surprise. However, while masking his slight frustration he shakes his head immediately. "No, you must've been seeing things."
Kyungmi continued staring at Mark, unconvinced. "No. I'm sure he signed that. I understood what he said and I can't hear Chenle, what other explanation is there?" Times like these are when Chenle wished Kyungmi wasn't so fucking observant.
Mark needs to give Chenle a big thanks for his fantastic acting skills as he keeps up the facade. "He said something, you must've just read his lips."
Kyungmi shook her head. "No, I would've-"
She was interrupted by a slap on the arm and an excited Chenle. "They're playing now! Shut up."
Kyungmi groaned, but obeyed, choosing to watch her friends, (mostly Mark), play soccer.
Halftime eventually came and all the players were sitting on their respective sides, resting and chatting until the second half started.
Most people in the stands were talking, but Kyungmi was silent because she couldn't stop staring at Mark. Chenle was getting kinda frustrated as he was trying to tell her something but Kyungmi just wouldn't pay attention.
Fed up, he poked Kyungmi's side, finally making her look at him. "Oh my god what are you staring at that has got you so entranced?"
She has to get a grip. She's here to watch her friend-not friend play soccer, not to watch how he drinks his water or how he runs a hand through his sweaty hair to get it out of his face or how he wipes his forehead with his shirt so you can see his-
Her hand slapped her forehead, mostly in punishment for what she was thinking. At that, Chenle just looked at her more concerned. "Do I need to take you to a doctor? What is wrong with you?"
Kyungmi shook her head, still kind of in the clouds. "I'm staring at Mark." Chenle glances over at Mark and then back at her. "...okay? Why are you staring?"
Mark runs a hand through his hair and Kyungmi tries not to die inside. "I need to come to his soccer games more often. My god does he look good."
Mark, who happened to be glancing their way, choked on his water, sending him into a temporary coughing fit. Kyungmis head automatically snapped towards Mark, very concerned.
Mark managed to throw up an I'm okay symbol with his hands, giving Kyungmi a small smile. She sent Mark a playful warning look, wordlessly telling him to be careful.

Mark walked out of his classroom just to see Kyungmi, situated right outside his classroom door. His face lit up as he walked towards her. "Umi! What are you doing here?"
Kyungmi wanted to go out. She wanted a coffee from her favourite cafe, and who better to bring than Mark?
Kyungmi beamed back at Mark, taking out her phone to talk. "I want to take you out. I'm craving a coffee from my favourite place." Mark cleared his throat in hopes of concealing his minor freakout. "I'm down to go, where are we going?"
Kyungmi started to walk, Mark quickly making his way beside her. "It's a secret."
Mark whined and tried to crack Kyungmi, but she just wouldn't budge. "No, I'm not telling you. Be patient."
Mark rolled his eyes. He quickly got over it as they kept talking throughout the 15-minute walk. Well, most of it was Mark talking.
Kyungmi loved to watch as Mark rambled on about whatever he wanted. He'd talk about basic things like what he had for lunch, or deep thoughts that he wondered about in the shower.
Some people find listening to be boring, that there is no real value to a conversation because you're not putting much of your input in, but Kyungmi? She loves it.
She knows she could talk a lot with Mark, it's not like Mark hogs a conversation, it's just that Kyungmi lets Mark talk. It's oddly therapeutic in a way.
At the end of a day of classes, Kyungmi is tired. Not only does she have to deal with the normal course load like the other students, but she also has extra trouble with properly receiving information. It can be exhausting at times, especially when the teacher doesn't care one bit about her.
But, at the end of a long day, watching Mark talk excitedly about whatever he did brings the biggest smile to her face.
Abruptly, Kyungmi stopped in front of a building. Mark looked at her confused before looking at the sign she was pointing at.
Kyungmi saw his eyes light up. "I didn't even know this place existed! Oh my god." Mark grabbed Kyungmis hand, pulling her right into the door.
As soon as they walked in they were greeted by dogs of all sizes running up to them.
The place was adorable. There were a few tables on each side of the cafe and a middle section where you could sit on the floor and play with the dogs. The actual food and drink part of the cafe was located on the back wall.
Getting to the food part took a while as Mark had to stop and pet every dog that he passed, but Kyungmi really wanted to keep holding his other hand so she waited patiently every time Mark stopped.
They eventually got to the counter and was greeted by a beautiful man. "Hello! Welcome to- oh my god Kyungmi! I haven't seen you in such a long time!"
