Stunned. That's literally decorating their faces now. Silence filled the room as each one keeps their thoughts to themselves. "I was there." A small, trembling voice breaks the silence. All eyes were on him, silently asking him to explain.
"Jungkook-"
"I found her."
"What? Where?" Kai demands.
"The female bathroom in the psychiatric ward," Yoongi answers, as he moves in front of Jungkook, covering the trembling rabbit from their sight.
"Jungkook sent a message to us to inform us of their whereabouts but only Yoongi hyung and Hoseok noticed it. But then, after about 15 minutes, Hoseok sent a message stating-" Namjoon visibly gulps.
"Stating what?" Jackson asks as he pinches his nose bridge, feeling a migraine coming up.
"Stating that she jumped from the window."
"WHAT?!" Minseok turns on his heel and told the guards to show them a recording of the back garden.
"The psychiatry ward is on the 3rd floor. That's-that's a bit-" Joonmyeon mumbles.
"If anything, that's better than jumping from her room," Minseok replies.
"What level was she again?" Jackson asks.
"The 5th floor."
"The 1st video that we watched showed that 5 minutes before Dongmin arrived, she was visibly alert. Well, she had always been alert but this time more alert than ever. She panicked, if the ECG were of any indication, and decided to pull out all the cannulas from her left arm. Then, limping, she dragged herself towards the nearest window and opened it. Pretty sure you guys could guess what she was planning to do. But then, she saw something that made her change her mind because she stumbled away from the window, looking rather pale. She just stood there for a while, obviously trembling before deciding to make a run out of the room," Joonmyeon says.
"It was... confusing, to say the least. It was as if, she knew Dongmin was coming. Hence, the reason she reacted that way. But how? It couldn't be instinct. After all, she was just a normal human. This doesn't make any sense."
Minseok, Joonmyeon, Jongin and Sehun look at each other briefly before giving a small nod.
"What? What is it?" Jackson asks.
"Allow me to be frank, sir. The four of us concluded this morning that perhaps, she was not exactly a human."
"WHAT?!" This comes from the wide-eyed Jimin.
"Yes, exactly. What do you mean, Jongin?" Jackson questions, eyebrows furrowing, veins popping and wrinkles showing, making him look older than usual.
"Dongmin is a notorious criminal, sir. Besides, he was one of the most wanted drug lords in this country, sir. But that's not only what he's famous for. Human trafficking, slaves, prostitution, fighting rings, black market, gambling and last but not least, illegal experiments. We were guessing that perhaps she was a victim of one of those immoral tests, sir."
Out of nowhere, Seokjin suddenly falls to his butt.
"Hyung!"
"I-I-I'm okay. Just-just needed to-"
"This case might be too heavy for some of you. Why don't you step outside and take some fresh air?" Sehun says.
Seokjin simply nods but he doesn't move. "Come, hyung. I'll bring you outside," Hoseok steps forward and slings Seokjin's right arm over his shoulder while he puts his left arm around Seokjin's waist. It is a struggle for Hoseok because Seokjin is still recovering from his shock so imagine his surprise when there's another arm above his on Seokjin's waist. Hoseok looks over to see a glum tiger and doesn't say anything as they move out of the room. "Jungkook?" Jimin asks. "I-I-I-" he looks back and forth around the room before his eyes settle on the video showing her limping towards the bushes. "I'm staying." Jimin doesn't respond but nods and interlaces their fingers. The discussion continues without much disruption.
