Chapter 6: Save Me

The ride to the hospital is silent as Namjoon keeps on peeking from his seat to look at the passed out girl before letting his eyes trail to her broken leg. Seokjin also fails to hide his worry as he keeps looking through the rear mirror. Jungkook, on the other hand, is trying to calm himself down as the smell of blood from the girl is too much for him. Well, he is not a predator hybrid, unlike his two brothers in front, so too much blood is making him nauseated. But, nobody cares that her blood is dirtying the car, not even the clean freak Seokjin. The moment they arrive at the hospital, the nurses and doctors immediately sprung into action and they explain the best they can regarding the situation when the doctor comes to do some history taking.

"She was in a critical condition earlier, but luckily everything went well. Judging by her state now, she needs to be hospitalized for a few days for all of her scars to heal. But for her leg, since it is too damaged, it's going to take months to heal as she is extremely malnourished, but don't worry, you can bring her home with you. Just make sure she doesn't move and disturbs the healing process," the doctor says.

"Wait, can't you find any information about her?" Namjoon asks.

"We'll try our best, but for the meantime, is it okay if I put your name as her guardian? Anyone of you is fine."

"You can put my name. Kim Seokjin."

"You're saying that as if I don't know you, Seokjin." Seokjin simply smiles and rubs his nape sheepishly. "Well, we need to be professional Minseok hyung."

"Fine, fine. And Jungkook, if you're that fidgety, you can visit her." Minseok grins causing the rabbit to turn beet red for getting caught by none other Minseok hyung, a red fox hybrid. "Thank you, hyung," Jungkook mumbles, still cannot get used to interacting with other people other than his own brothers. Minseok simply smiles at the flustered bunny before turning to look at Seokjin.

"Well, will you follow me Kim Seokjin? There are some documents you need to fill in."

"It feels weird hearing you calling me like that, hyung."

"Well, you're the one that says we need to be professional," Minseok laughs before walking away, with Seokjin trailing from behind not before reminding his brothers "Try not to break anything and be quiet. Let her rest." Namjoon and Jungkook nod before they too walk towards Youngmi's room. Thank God they manage to acquire one of the VIP rooms, thanks to their status, after all. Jungkook's eyes widen seeing all the machines and IV drips connecting to Youngmi. Namjoon walks in and closes the door behind, looking at the pale girl, bandaged all over before sitting on the couch in the room.

"Why is she connected to all of these, hyung?" Jungkook asks as he sniffs and inspects everything. "Well, that is used to monitor her heartbeat, blood pressure, and oxygen level. That one is used to supply her with the nutrients she needed, as you can see, she is pretty malnourished after all so she definitely has some nutrients deficiency. The rest, I am not quite sure. Sorry, Jungkook."

"It's okay, hyung. Do we need to bring these all home then?"

"I don't think so. I mean, when she is allowed to go home, she is already better. The only problem will be her leg, I hope."

Jungkook nods before sitting on the chair next to the bed and staring her down. She looks so pale and lifeless. If it was not for the machine, Jungkook will think that she's barely alive. The room is silent for a while as Namjoon observes Jungkook who is observing Youngmi.

"Do- Do you think she will run again when she wakes up?" Jungkook looks at Namjoon.

"Um, I'm not sure Jungkook. I can't really predict her action, you know?"

"But then, if she moves, she'll have to restart all the healing process again and her condition will probably worsen."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure they assign someone to watch her, just in case."

Jungkook smiles and nods "That's better."

Soon after, the door slides open, revealing Seokjin. "How is she?"

"Still asleep," Jungkook answers as he moves the strands of hair from Youngmi's eyes. Of course, that action didn't go unnoticed by his brothers who can only smile in amusement.

"What did the doctor say?" Namjoon asks.

"There's nothing about her. Not even her name. Heck, she is not even registered. It's as if she doesn't even exist. Minseok hyung says this might involve the police since she doesn't have an ID and all that. So, Minseok hyung believes that she is just another victim of human trafficking."

"Police? That means she will be interrogated and all that right?" Jungkook asks.

"Yeah, why?"

"Hyung, did you forget how did she react to us? She'll go wild again. Can't it wait at least until she's stable and cooperative?"

"Oh, well, it's not really my decision to make, Jungkook. It's up to the polices themselves. But, I'm sure they'll get the idea when she starts biting and throwing things at them. How's your arm?"

"I'm okay. It doesn't hurt anymore."

"Biting?" Namjoon asks.

"Oh, Jungkook got bitten when we were trying to restrain her just now. Kicked and punched as well," Seokjin laughs.

"Hey, it's not funny, you know. Her kicks and punches hurt, okay?"

"Okay, okay. I'm sorry."

"Ah, hyung. Can you tell Minseok hyung to assign someone to watch after her? I mean, we don't want her to run away again, after all," Namjoon suggests.

"Oh right. I can tell him that. But I'm sure the only thing he can do is assign a nurse that'll check up on her every 30 minutes or something. I mean, they have limited staff after all."

Namjoon simply nods "Well, better that than nothing."

"We should go home. We haven't eaten and freshen up after all. I'm sure the others are worried sick right now," Seokjin says.

"But-"

"Jungkook, she'll be safe here. I'm sure she's not an idiot to not realize that she is not in the hospital," Namjoon answers.

"But if she had never been to the hospital, she will still freak out because the surrounding is still unfamiliar to her." Both Namjoon and Seokjin quiet down at this.

"But we have to go home. I'm sure you're hungry. We can visit again this evening and we will bring everyone, okay?" Seokjin reasons.

"You promise?"

"I promise, bunny."

"Okay, then. We better hurry go back. The faster we go, the sooner we come," Jungkook says as he lightly bounces on his feet, eager to go home. The other two only look at him in amusement before standing up and leaving the room, not before glancing at her again for the last time. Seokjin goes to inform Minseok about Namjoon's request to which the fox agrees happily and then they go back to their home, hearts heavy but determine to visit her again in the evening.
