You, Emma and Olive had persuaded Miss Peregrine to let you go Christmas shopping outside of the loop. You knew there wasn't much to find on Cairnholm meaning you would all have to take the ferry. You had laud out two outfits for the girls, seeing as theirs were... old fashioned to say the least. They wouldn't fit in. You'd given Emma a blue hoodie and some simple jeans. Olive you'd given a purple sweater and brown pants. You smiled at the sight when coming down the stairs. You yourself were wearing a navy blue sip up hoodie with a white too underneath and jeans matching Emma's.
"You two ready to go?!" You asked running over.
"So ready!" Emma said enthusiastically making all three of you laugh.
"Please remember to be careful..." a careful voice said. You turned to see a concerned Alma standing in the door way of the parlour.
"Of course. Don't worry blue bird." You said reassuring the woman. She didn't seem to convinced until you walked over and gave her a kiss on the lips. She was taken aback by the action but gladly returned it. You gave her one last smile before heading out with the two girls.
"So... you two are getting serious" Olive suddenly said making your gaze snap over to hers.
"I... yeah." You said feeling your cheeks burn up. But that could be blamed on the cold? Maybe. You heard Emma chuckle and gave her a light hit on the arm.
"Ow!" She exclaimed with a fake offended look.
"Oh come on. That didn't hurt!" You said playfully and you all started laughing.
"I missed this" Olive said making you and Emma exchange a confused look.
"What?" Emma was the one to ask.
"I don't know. We just aren't outside the loop much" she said smiling. You gave her one in return, happy to take them out for a little.

You'd been in about 11 shops when you decided that they could each pick 1 more store each, and then you would all head home. Emma wanted to -for whatever reason- go into the watchmaker's were she picked out a picket watch. Thinking about it, it was really sweet. Her picking up Alma's sense of time. Your heart melted a little and then it was time for Olives shop. You all walked into a hunting store, not really knowing why but anyway! You let the girls walk around alone in the shop while looking at some deer horns and skulls.
"Hey can i help you with anything?" You turned around to see a man probably a worker standing behind you.
"No i'm just looking around" you said politely and went to walk away but to your surprise -and misery- he followed you.
"Well are you looking for anything specific?" He asked with a smirk. You rolled your eyes which he couldn't see, before turning your head to him again.
"No. Not really" you said trying your best to keep up your polite smile.
"Not even a strong man to take you out later" he said. This caught you by surprise and clear disgust was now accidentally plastered on your face.
"No! Now leave me be please." You said trying to walk away but he grabbed you by the wrist making you almost fall.
"Hey!" You shouted making him frown.
"No reason to be impolite" he said grabbing you by the waist.
"Hey douche!" Olive yelled slapping the man across the head with a bat.
"Oh my god!" You exclaimed as you quickly pulled away. Emma spat him in the face before looping her arm into yours as all three of you walked up to pay like nothing had happened. When you'd walked away you heard a scream.
"I think she found him" Emma said making you all laugh.
"Fucking trash bag." Emma mumbled making you snap your gaze over to her.
"Emma! Alm- Miss Peregrine will end me if any of you start cursing" you said making all of you laugh as hard as ever.
"She would wouldn't she" Emma laughed out. Your hand flew to your cramping stomach. All of you with happy tears walked to the ferry to get home again.
