CHAPTER 34: Dilemma

Jin was the first one to rush out of the ambulance, followed by two ward boys carrying the injured man on the stretcher. Jungkook and Taehyung's hands were entangled tightly almost as if they didn't wanna let go of each other. 

The injured man whimpered in pain. "Don't worry nothing will happen to you Tae" Jungkook assured him, but he was himself crying. 

Jungkook let go of his hand when the hospital staff dragged Taehyung to the emergency operation theatre. The doors of the room closed, and the red light was turned on the top of it which meant the operation was going on. 

As soon as the doors closed, Jungkook broke down. He started crying heavily. Jin wanted to go ahead and comfort him, but he was himself in shock, he needed time to process things that were happening because it was a bigger shocker for him. It made him feel like a coward, Taehyung loves Jungkook so much that he didn't even hesitate to keep his life at stake for him, was he doing wrong by coming in between the two?

Ga Young came forward and hugged Jungkook, although she didn't like Taehyung a bit, she didn't want this to happen to him. Jin just stared at Jungkook with wide tear-filled eyes, he was not even blinking, deep into his thoughts. 

Namjoon rubbed a comforting hand on his back, trying to convey to Jin to stay strong. Jin just looked elsewhere, hiding his tears. Soon Jimin and Yugyeom came running inside, Jimin looked worried while Yugyeom was trying to hold him. 

"What happened to him? I asked what happened-" Jimin snapped at the group of people gathered outside the OT. Yoongi sighed before going to him and telling him about how Suho was trying to shoot Jungkook, but Taehyung suddenly jumped in between to save him and got shot instead. Suho was arrested by the police again, but the damage was done. 

"No-no-no why he has to suffer every time?!" Jimin snapped again, tears filled in his eyes. 

"What are you implying Jimin? Taehyung himself jumped in front of the bullet, we didn't push him or something." Hoseok snapped back. 

"NO!! I'm implying that he always has to suffer because of Jungkook!" Jimin half-yelled pointing at Jungkook who was crying on the floor. Jungkook turned to look at him, confused. 

"B-because o-of me?" Jungkook questioned with red puffy eyes and nose. 

"JIMIN!! STAY IN YOUR LIMITS!!" Hoseok snapped but Jimin looked at him. 

"Oh? Why? Why shouldn't I speak? I have full right to tell everyone what my friend has went through." Jimin turned to look at Jungkook "Look Jungkook, I'm really sorry for whatever happened to you in those six months but that doesn't mean Taehyung hasn't suffered because of you, it's not your fault though, but he definitely suffered". 

"What?" Ga Young questioned. 

"Yes!! Do you guys know how his father has treated him after his mother's death, he didn't even care about him, all the money he earned, he wasted it on himself, Taehyung had to manage himself since he was a child. He was all alone, and then he fell in love with Jungkook. I always saw him working harder and harder so that he can meet Jungkook's level, that always broke my heart, but he was trying his best for him" Jimin sighed, lowering his tone a little. 

"And then his father saw Jungkook and his dad and Mr. Kim planned to fill him up with poison, he filled Taehyung with poison against Jungkook, for two whole years. Suho and Mr. Kim left no opportunity to remind him how Mr. Jeon was responsible for his mother's death". 

"-and mind you, due to being left alone and unattended, Taehyung had developed a severe mental health condition. I recently got to know about this, he is having this condition since he was 12" Jimin added.
