"Crystalpaw!" Snowstorm shouted. "Don't trow with your prey!" "Sorry," Crystalpaw mumbled. "I didn't mean to do that." "You're acting like all day, what's wrong with you!" Snowstorm said. She looked extremely irritated, but also curious. "I don't know what I have today," Crystalpaw said. "Just a bad day, I guess." "Yeah, whatever," Snowstorm mumbled. "We're going to train." "Hey!" someone yelled. Crystalpaw saw the medicine cat running towards Jumptail. "Where are you going?" Crystalpaw asked curiously. "The moonpool." Redfur answered. "Oh," Crystalpaw mumbled. "I want to go there someday!" She looked excited, but Snowstorm rolled her eyes. "Only medicine cat's can go there," she said. "Then I want to become a medicine cat," Crystalpaw muttered. "Sorry, not sorry," Snowstrom started. "But you're going to become a warrior. Redfur already has an apprentice,"Snowstorm said. Crystalpaw rolled her eyes at her mentor.
Sharkfur was trying to sleep. "Are you okay Sharkfur?" someone asked. Sharkfur opened his eyes. He saw Lilyfeather sitting right in front of him. "Yeah," he mumbled. "Just trying to get some sleep." "You've been acting weird ever since Tigerpelt died," Lilyfeather said. "You didn't even know him that well. What's wrong?" She seemed worried and that made Sharkfur feel a little bit better. "It's just something he said," he mumbled. "About Peltclaw." "What did he say?" Lilyfeather asked curiously. Sharkfur wasn't sure if he should tell Lilyfeather, but he decided he needed to tell at least someone. So why not Lilyfeather? She knew Peltclaw's secrets. "Tigerpelt told me Peltclaw killed a cat, back when he was an apprentice and Tigerpelt took the blame for him. He told me to get revenge on Peltclaw for him," Sharkfur said. "But I don't know what to do and now Tigerpelt's dead. I dream about him every night." "I don't know what to say," Lilyfeather mumbled. "I understand. I shouldn't have told you that," Sharkfur said. "No, it's okay. I'm just surprised," Lilyfeather mumbled. "You should try to sleep and stop thinking about Tigerpelt." 'No shit,' Sharkfur said to himself.
"I want Forestpelt, Scorpionfeather, Sunningripe, Hawkfeather and Honeybear on a hunting patrol. Okay?" Palefur said. "And Peltclaw, Salmonheart, Whitefoot, Mossflower, Heartflower and Ivypaw can go on the border patrol. Whitefoot you can," he continued, but Peltclaw stopped him. "I'll lead the patrol," he said. "Oh," Palefur mumbled. "Okay." "No," Fairystar said, while walking towards the patrol. "Palefur was talking." "Sure, what where you saying, Palefur?" Peltclaw asked. He tried to keep his voice calm. 'Starclan,' how he hated Thunderclans leader. "I was saying that Whitefoot may lead the patrol," Palefur said, he seemed annoyed. "But I am fine with it, if Peltclaw does instead." "No, I don't think so," Fairystar said. "Whitefoot can lead the patrol, while I speak with Peltclaw." "Alright," Peltclaw hissed. "Come to my den please," Fairystar said. They walked into the leaders den. "What's wrong this time?" Peltclaw asked. "You have to listen to my deputy," Fairystar said. "If he's talking you stay quiet. If you won't you'll be in trouble." She sighed. "If you don't listen to me and Palefur's orders, I might have to kick you out of the clan." Peltclaw sighed. "You don't understand, Fairystar," he said. "I'm really sad about my fathers death, I try my best to not think about it and I'm sorry if that bothers you." "Sure," Fairystar muttered. "But still you have to listen to my deputy." "Maybe," Peltclaw said. "If he can't make cats listen to him, he's not a proper deputy."
