Lanterns and proposels

Ash had been planning this night for weeks. He wanted everything to be perfect, from the flowers he picked up at the market to the carefully chosen restaurant where they would have dinner. As he walked hand in hand with his boyfriend Eiji through the crowded streets of Tokyo, Ash couldn't help but feel a little nervous. He had something very special planned for the end of the evening, and he hoped Eiji would feel the same way about it as he did.

As the sun began to set, Ash led Eiji to a small park on the outskirts of the city. There, they found a beautiful lantern show in full swing, with hundreds of glowing lanterns floating in the air above them. Ash and Eiji walked through the crowds, marveling at the stunning display of light and color.

As they reached the center of the park, Ash took a deep breath and turned to Eiji. "I wanted to bring you here because this place has always held a special meaning for me," he said, taking Eiji's hand in his own. "Ever since I was a little boy, I've always loved the way the lanterns light up the sky. It's like they're guiding us to something better, something brighter. And I know that's what you've done for me, Eiji. You've helped me find my way, and I can't imagine going through life without you by my side."

Eiji looked at Ash with tears in his eyes. "Ash, I love you so much," he said, pulling Ash into a hug. "I can't believe you brought me here. It's so beautiful."

Ash grinned and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small velvet box. "I have something else for you," he said, opening the box to reveal a beautiful diamond ring. "Eiji, I know we've only been together for a few years, but I can't imagine my life without you. Will you marry me?"

Eiji gasped and tears began to stream down his face. "Yes, Ash," he said, his voice shaking with emotion. "Yes, I will marry you. I love you so much."

Ash slipped the ring onto Eiji's finger and the two of them hugged each other tightly, surrounded by the glowing lanterns and the love they shared. As they walked through the park, hand in hand, Ash knew that he had found his happily ever after.
