He stared into the moon and thought about his next move.
"What do I do now?" The sword dinged once.
He looked at it and glowed as it pointed to the moon.
"So that's where the last one is? In the sky?" The stone dinged once. "Ok, I understand." This didn't seem crazy to him at all, it actually mundane if anything.
For as much as he has been through, this was just another step he would have to take. He walked away, then ran as quickly as possible and jumped. He flew high, very high up. He could feel the fear trying to pull him back to the earth, but he kept going no matter what. He passed the clouds and entered a realm of cloud with light flying around. He landed on a rock that was floating. There were many large rocks floating in the air, they were practically boulders.
He could feel a strong wind beating against his fur. There was a cyclone in the middle of the storm. He held up the sword and it glowed to the cyclone. He jumped off the rock and flew to the cyclone. Then he felt something grab him, holding him back from the stone, and it threw him against a rock. Alex saw the clouds form together into a face that looked familiar, the face split into four with hollow eyes and a devilish smile.
"Now look what we have here." Said a low voice that Alex heard before, from the mansion, and from his nightmare. "You just won't give up."
"Never!" He yelled. "I'll never let you win!"
"Oh, but that's not your choice." The thing smiled.
It blew a strong gust of wind at Alex. He was sent flying and barely grasped the rock. His hands began to slip and crawled down to the back. He waited for the right moment and flew to a rock nearby. The wind followed and he flew back. He flew back and forth and the thing got confused.
He used that confusion and flew around the thing. It shot lightning at Alex and he made it behind another rock. He took out the stones and sword and the souls flew into the sword. He got on the rock and flew directly at the thing with the sword facing it. All the power Alex possessed drove through the thing and left an opening and within moments, he was inside of the cyclone.
The cyclone flew him upwards and he could hear the thing yelling and screaming as it faded away and everything disappeared.
Alex went unconscious and woke up on a white rocky surface. He looked around, the rock went for miles and never ended. He looked up. There was no sky above him, just black mixed with purples and reds with thousands of tiny white dots that shined bright in the darkness. He looked ahead and saw a huge ball of fire far beyond him that shone brighter than any light he had ever seen. He looked behind and saw a round ball in the distance. It was mostly blue, but had patches of green that were evenly spaced out.
That was his home. Where he had lived all his life seemed so small in comparison to everything else he could see.
"Wow!" He exclaimed.
He held up his sword and searched around. There were many craters scattered about the land. There was no water to be found. He came across a large pile of rocks that looked very out of place. He held up the sword, and the pile of rocks morphed together until the rock had legs, arms, a body and some sort of head.
Two holes shined bright on its face and it chased Alex down. It was surprisingly fast but couldn't catch up with Alex. He took his sword and slashed at the rock's legs. It made a cut in the rock that was barely deep. The rocks then lifted its legs and stomped hard in its path. No dust flew into air and the rock below seemed unphased by the monster above. Alex backed away then they both ran towards each other. Alex then flew in the air and stabbed its left eye. Its hands tried to grab Alex but he quickly jumped away and the hands slammed in his face. He staggered backwards and fell with a hard thud. There was no chance of it being able to recover, or at least, get back up.
Alex got on its chest and all of the souls came together to form a power great enough to destroy any mountain. He stabbed deep inside its chase as it screamed in agony. Cracks formed out from the stab and the rock fell apart. Alex backed away and waited for the light to pour out of it and this horrible nightmare be over.
The light never came.
Something did begin to happen. A thing that seemed trapped inside the hard rock was pushing to escape. It broke the rock and suddenly, the thing flew into the stars. Alex couldn't see what it was. It disappeared into the darkness instantly. He tried to follow where he thought it was moving. Then he saw it pass the earth and appear in front of him.
It slammed into the ground and left cracks on its impact. It was tall with many feathers that flowed right into its pitch black armor. It wilded two swords and its face was a mutilated version of what should've been a beautiful crow.
It flew towards Alex. He barely dodged it and it came back again. It was more powerful than anything. Alex found nothing to do but to stand there and take it. The thing stabbed it's sword into the ground and Alex found himself flying away with the rocks. The crow jumped too far and Alex hid under the blanket. The crow ricocheted off the blanket and Alex ran. Not only was he terrified of his appearance, but was scared of his strength.
He stood still as the crow flew to him until the last second when he ducked and jumped onto it's back and stabbed as many times as he could. He was thrown off and the crow screeched in agony, not from pain, but from almost losing. It flew towards him again and Alex finally struck back with all his power and the crow's swords broke in half. It screamed in agony and Alex jumped towards it landing the final blow in it's heart.
Everything went white, and for a glimpse, he saw his body gently float to the ground like a feather.
