This was a suggestion by @00Skotadi00

Leviathantale was made by Sku on tumbler so make sure you check them out! I'd never heard of this au until I was given this suggestion and it's such an interesting au idea! Anyways this one was mainly just a little bit of fluff and nonsense that I threw together, but still had fun writing! Hope you enjoy, and if you have any ideas for me to write, go ahead and either put them in the comments or dm me!

Horror's P.O.V

I thrashed around in the water, surely causing a commotion on the surface. I was once again caught in a net, this becoming somewhat of a routine, but it gives me an excuse to see my favorite person. Kelp is a fisherman that I randomly met one day the first time I ever got caught in a net. He was the one to help me out of it, always being so gentle so he wouldn't add to the gallery of scars that already adorned my body. Ever since then, I'd find myself willingly getting tangled in nets just to see him, soon gaining his affection after about a year of doing these impromptu visits. Even though I could easily just follow the scent of the fish on his boat, I liked being a little dramatic with our encounters.

I felt a tug on the net and instantly relaxed, allowing them to drag me. I looked at the hook on my arm, carefully bent to comfortably wrap around my arm as my own armlet, and smiled. I felt the flow of water all around me as I was dragged closer to the surface, feeling the warmth of the sun get closer and closer until finally I broke the surface. I saw the slightly annoyed but amused face of my lovely Kelp standing above me as he continued to drag me up until I was on his boat. I laid on my side, my head resting on my hand as my tail tapped on the floor below me. "Hey, it seems to be my regular," Kelp said with a chuckle, pulling out his pocketknife from his fanny pack, cutting the net off of me. He got teasingly close as he started cutting, dragging his blade gently over my bones to get under the rope.

Each snap of the rope breaking sent a chill down my spine, each drag of his blade caused a crazed smile, even though he was always careful about not cutting me, the thrill of it almost happening was always so exciting. When he was finally done, he put his knife back in his fanny pack and my hand reached for his necklace, a small rope tied around one of my old teeth that had fallen out on one of our visits, and pulled him close to me. He fell onto my chest, his hands bracing themselves on my ribcage at the sudden movement, his face dazed for a moment before realizing what happened, a harsh blush crossed his cheekbones at the sudden closeness. I chuckled at his adorable face before giving him a short kiss, letting him go before he could go nuts from embarrassment.

His face continued to have a small blush on it once he backed away a bit, taking the rope and throwing it away in his trash bag before bringing his attention back to me. His face lit up as he realized something, a flash of annoyance gracing his features as he sat beside me again, cuddling against my chest when my arm wrapped around his shoulders. "I'm actually glad you showed up, I really needed someone to rant to," he pouted, huffing out a breath causing me to chuckle. "Well, I'm all nonexistent ears, sweetheart, what happened?"

He let out another annoyed huff before talking. "While I was at the market today, trying to sell or trade my catches from this morning, this man tried to say that my tuna were mere tadpoles compared to his swordfish! At least mine were 500 pounds of meat! His were ten-foot-long bags of bones! He tried to say my catch wasn't worth ten dollars let alone 1,000 which is cheap for tuna! It's sold for around 200 dollars per pound, but I just wanted to help feed some people and he had the audacity to say it wasn't with anything? Augh!" he finally finished his rant with a scowl on his face, his cheeks puffed out in frustration. Honestly, that guy did sound fairly annoying if he didn't know anything about fishing even though he literally sells the stuff.

I hooked my finger and thumb on his chin, lifting his head to look me in the eyes. "Seems like he really pushed your buttons, love, would you like me to eat him for you?" I asked, a slightly crazed grin making its way onto my face, a little drool flowing from the edge of my mouth as I thought of tearing apart the man that dared to talk shit about Kelp. My murderous thoughts were broken once Kelp wiped my mouth with his thumb, a sigh leaving his precious lips. "No, Horror. That's not how we solve our problems. He was just an annoying stranger who I'll very rarely see. Thank you for wanting to protect me though," he said, planting a small kiss on my cheek.

We sat in each other's hold for several minutes just talking about random things, like his friends and my shiver and how they were doing, Kelp long since taking off his hat and fanny pack to get more comfortable. Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind, a devilish grin dawning my face, getting a very confused look from the smaller at my side. Before he could ask what I was thinking, I quickly jumped from the boat, a large splash following me. I relished in the cool water, letting it soak into my dry fins. I looked just below the surface, seeing Kelp looking around for me very confused, leaning his weight on the edge of the boat for a closer look. Taking this opportunity, I moved to the opposite side of the boat, poking my head above the surface to see Kelp still looking for me. My devilish grin returned full force when I put my hands on the side of the boat, pushing it with enough force to heavily rock it without turning it over.

There was a yelp of surprise then a splash following soon after causing a laugh to come from me before swimming over to where Kelp was, an annoyed look aimed right at me once he saw me. "Really Horror? Was that really necessary? You coulda just said you wanted to swim," he said, crossing his arms at me. Honestly, it was nice to see he was finally used to being able to breathe underwater. When we met, I had given him a 'blessing' after he saved me, allowing him to breathe and talk underwater. (idk if this is right but it's what I gathered from the research I did on leviathantale so bear with me guys ;-;) It had taken me several tries to even convince him it was okay to breathe instead of holding his breath and rushing to the surface for air.

I laughed at his annoyed look, swimming over to him and curling myself around him, hugging him from behind as my tail curled around him. "I was getting a little dry and thought maybe you'd like to go in for a dip as well," I said with a deep chuckle, kissing the back of his neck, careful with my teeth to not cut him as I gave him little love bites, gaining small gasps from him before finally letting him go. He quickly turned around to me with a challenging look. "Oh, you're gonna pay for that," he said. "I'd like to see you try to keep up with me," I returned, giving him just as challenging a look before he began to swim his way towards me, but of course I was faster, with being a shark and all. We laughed as he tried his best to keep up or try to even get close to my speed. I would occasionally slow down, making him think he could sneak up before I would move several feet away. It wasn't until I finally just stopped, he was able to finally grab me, launching himself at me and wrapping his arms around my neck. "Gotcha!" he exclaimed, laughing against my mouth before finally closing the distance between us.
