Guys, I am not joking when I say this was SO MUCH FUN to write. When I was given this request months ago, I knew it would end up being fairly long, but I didn't think I'd get carried away and make it almost 5,000 words long!! Just as a comparison, most of my one-shot I make are at least 1,000 words, the most being about 1,500 before this one! Anyways, this was once again requested by the amazing

WARNING!!! If you are uncomfortable with mentions of self-hate, blood, and self-depravity, please don't force yourself to read this. This contains sensitive subjects that contrast to what I usually write, there are some shipping bits in it, but this is mainly Error struggling with himself and trusting others, so tread cautiously.

Hope you guys enjoy this!

Error's POV

There are times that you often wonder, 'What is the point of being here? Why be here when you can't even be yourself?' Well, most people wouldn't ask themselves this, but they're questions that often run through my troubled mind. In this world, humans are the dominant species, with us freaks us oddities being looked down upon or hunted for popularity gains. You see, most people don't really believe in us now, but the ones that do, seek us and hunt us down to prove that they were right, that we do exist. I myself am a shapeshifter, unlike some that exist like hybrids or magic wielders, but all of us have to remain hidden now, disguised as humans to keep our true identities a secret.

I find myself in the same position as many others, fleeing my suburban home to head for the big city to get a better chance at living, since it'd be harder for a hunter to kill a person who looks human without getting a nice prison sentence.

I walked silently in the pouring rain, the hoodie of my black and blue jacket not doing much to keep my hair and face from getting soaked. It was late, the middle of the night, and I had yet to find a place to stay for the night. Every hotel was booked or too expensive, the city having much different prices than what I'm used to or can afford. I shivered from the cold, sitting on a nearby bench to finally rest my aching feet. I had to leave my town so suddenly that I couldn't buy an apartment before getting here. A hunter was close on my trail, and I just couldn't have that, so here I am, probably gonna be sleeping on a bench in the rain. I curled my legs up to my face, hugging them close to try to preserve my body heat. That's when I suddenly heard a screeching halt of a car and hurried footsteps, making me lift my head and uncurl myself to see what was up. A short guy with white hair, some parts dyed blue, ran to me with a light blue umbrella over his head.

"Sir! The magnificent Blue sees that you are wet and cold in the rain! Therefore, you may have the pleasure of accompanying my friends and I at our home if you wish!" he...asked? Said? Demanded? I honestly have no clue. Honestly, this guy seems to not be much of a threat but is definitely strange. My confusion must have shown cause an awkward chuckle came from the little blue guy. It was then that another guy hopped out of the car from the passenger side, walking over to Blue and wrapping an arm around his waist. He wore a blue jacket with a gray hood to match his dusty white hair. "Blue, you're coming on strong again, it's okay, but not everyone is used to it like we are. Anyways, what my boyfriend is trying to say is that if you'd like to come with us to get out of the rain, then you're welcome to. We've got a guest bedroom for you to use so you don't have to interact with anyone if you aren't comfortable." the hooded one suggested, looking down at a pouting Blue with a small smile.

It took me a moment to consider their request, for one they're strangers that randomly showed up to help me out, but this could be my only chance to get out of this rain. Plus, the author is a lazy idiot who can't think of any other way to start this off. (STFU I'm trying! (ಥ﹏ಥ)) I decided that it'd be better to get kidnapped in a warm building than to possibly die of hypothermia while looking more pathetic than I already do. "Yeah, thanks, it's better than being out here all night" I said, walking with them to their car and getting in the backseat, Blue taking the driver's seat while the hooded one took the passenger. We took off towards their house, creating small talk on the way there. "So, what's your name, pal?" the hooded one asked, turning around to look at me. I hesitated a bit, not sure if I should reveal my real name, considering they could end up being hunters who know me. "...Glitch, my name is Glitch, and what about you, or should I call you hoodie?" I asked, getting a laugh from hoodie. "Ha Ha funny, you can call me Dust, and I'm sure you know this by now, but this is Blue. We live in a shared house with the rest of our friends just cause it's easier to pay bills that way." he chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck.
