Two months passed. Bodoku, Zayla and Tidus were currently in Goa Del Sia a plain desert village with few houses and a small market. They'd held out there for three weeks so far after escaping more clones while trying to leave Gonaga behind them. Zayla got up and sighed, she stood in front of the mirror after changing into a white top and trousers, not very colourful but in this place that's all she could get her hands on. She tied her long blue hair up in a bun then left the room. Bodoku was already making breakfast for the three of them his attire pretty much the same as hers, his shoulder-length brown, straight hair was neatly brushed into a ponytail. "Good morning", he said putting eggs down onto three separate plates. She gave a small bored wave then sat at the table, "where's Tidus?" She asked, knowing that he was usually the second one up, his wound now healed. "He popped out for supplies". "So he went to scout the area again huh?" Bodoku gave a half smile, "you know him", he almost sighed, "he left a while ago, he should return soon". Zayla gave an exaggerated sigh, "something on your mind?" "Well yeah", she replied as he placed her food in front of her and sat down, "it's been two months since this whole thing started, don't you think we should be finding stuff out?" "You mean finding Aido..." "Yes! Exactly! Maybe he has answers". "And maybe you want revenge for what happened to Kaizen, which is understandable", he added as she scowled at him, "but revenge isn't the answer, we will find answers soon Zayla but for the moment you need time to mourn and I need to keep you safe". She slammed her fork down making him jump, "I've had time to mourn! It's been ages and still nothing! I'm sick of waiting!! I need to find out why-?" She flinched as Bodoku slammed his fists on the table, one of the legs his side broke causing the table to flip on its side. Zayla looked across at him, "what's wrong with you?" "Did you ever think that maybe I need some time to mourn Zayla... Kaizen, he was like a father to me after my own passed... and I couldn't save either of them". "You were only eight when your father died Bodoku, and I never once blamed you for my dads death, so you shouldn't either". He blinked at her, "I promised I'd protect you, I don't want to go looking for trouble and getting you killed, or you know hurt since it's possible you can't die but I don't want to test that theory. What if it was a one off and the next time you die for good? I don't know what I'd do..." Zayla smiled sheepishly, "you'd probably rain hell down on whoever killed me", she gave a gentle chuckle. He nodded in agreement, "you're probably right", he smiled back. They both jumped as the door burst open, "they've found us we have to-" Tidus was kicked hard in the back, he was airborne for a few seconds before he crashed through what was left of the dining table. "Tidus!" Zayla screamed while Bodoku had already grabbed his swords and was eager to protect his friends as someone walked to stand in the doorway. It was a woman with dark red hair and icy blue eyes, she was wearing black leather showing off her curvy features. Bodoku tensed as she locked eyes with him, "honey, I'm home", she cackled. Zayla helped Tidus to his feet, she looked at the intruder, all she could think was that her eyes looked scary, especially with the black make up around them. The woman glared, her eyes burning brightly, "well, well, well. So this is where you've been hiding", she let her eyes glide over the small two bedroom house, "it's all so, sickening". Bodoku prepared his skinny blade and black sword for whatever was to come next, "what do you want?" He asked even though he was pretty sure he knew what her answer would be. "Seriously?" The devilish woman laughed, "you don't know what I want?" "I thought it'd be rude to assume", he spat back. She eyed him putting a finger to her chin, "you don't say... well how very honest of you and they say chivalry is dead". Tidus stood beside Bodoku, "are you finished? We know you've come for Zayla and you're not getting her!' Tidus drew his sword. "Oh really, you're a rude one aren't you?" "Say what you want, but there's two of us and one of you", Bodoku pointed out. The red head looked past them to Zayla, "they don't count you sweetie? How sad". Zayla glared, "I can fight just as good as them", she said then grinned, "but I'm not needed for this fight, it'll be easy for Bodoku alone to wipe out a big boobed trollop like you". The red head scowled adopting witchy features, "you think so, do you? Well then I hope you're ready!" She darted towards the men. Tidus defended attacks from her thin long red sword as she flipped towards him moving faster than his eyes could follow. Bodoku cut in between them as Tidus gasped after receiving a few small cuts to his limbs. Bodoku clashed swords with her every attack not receiving a single injury. Their swords clanged together and both sides were at a standstill pushing against each others blades. The woman grinned her red lips widening, "you really are as good as she said". "I'm not done yet", he gritted his teeth tightening his focus and slashed back hitting with both swords he slashed at her feet causing her to lose her balance and stagger back. He stabbed forward with the skinny blade. The red head flipped backwards avoiding a kill shot. She steadied her breath with a smile regaining her composure as Bodoku watched her carefully, "that was close wasn't it", she chuckled. Bodoku straightened placing the black sword in the sheathe on his back, he tapped his face with a small smug grin, "closer than you think", he told her. She touched a small cut on her cheek then looked at her finger tips seeing blood. Her smile faded, replaced by blood boiling rage, "my beautiful face... what have you done...?" Bodoku glanced back making sure Zayla was still safe. Tidus rejoined his side as he said, "leave now or that scratch won't be the worst of what you receive". The woman glared at him, then licked the blood. Bodoku knew, this was a game changer. She'd snapped. "Tidus, sit out of this". "What but I-" "I couldn't see it before the fight but her sword is poison tipped. I can help you after I've killed her". Tidus nodded and backed up still ready to defend Zayla. Zayla's eyes widened as she seemed to sense something in the woman before them, "fire..." she muttered, somehow seeing flames deep inside her core, "she has fire!" Bodoku gasped as a fireball lit up his eyes hitting him on the left side of his face. He cried out and fell backwards patting his face and trying to see what the invaders next move would be. She lunged forward, "it's over", she thrust her sword down. Tidus barged her so hard she fell through a cupboard, as she tried to get up he slashed her across the stomach and kicked her through the window. When he rushed to look out, she was gone. "You're okay. Just hold still!" Tidus turned to see Zayla trying to move Bodoku's hands from his face. He rushed over grabbing a towel and wetting it with cold water, "here, use this". Bodoku took the towel, "ah... thanks..." he pressed it on the burn on his face. Zayla sighed looking up at Tidus, "are you okay?" "I can wait", he replied with a nod. "No you can't..." Bodoku muttered he still held the towel to his face and stumbled towards the kitchen then reached inside of a cupboard. Tidus and Zayla shot a look to each other before following. "What are you doing?" Zayla asked. He pulled a vial down putting an amount of grey powder into a glass before filling it with water, "normally I'd add a flavour, but there's no time. Drink this". Tidus took it and sipped it, as he went to spit the foul flavour from his mouth Bodoku slapped a hand over his lips, "swallow, don't waste a drop", he warned. Tidus made a face as he swallowed then to his dismay, continued to drink. Zayla look down as Bodoku uncovered his face. The fireball had burned his left eye shut and scarred around his eyebrow. Even Tidus felt guilty that he hadn't prevented Bodoku from being harmed. "This isn't your fault, either of you", Bodoku told them as he disinfected his wound, "I-agh... I was trained to see through attacks no matter what they are or when they come. I'm to blame". He tore part of a cloth and pressed a gauze to his eye before wrapping the cloth around his head to keep it there. Zayla gritted her teeth, "I should've done something", she said. "No", Tidus said, "it's our job to protect you and we did, don't worry about us. Zayla turned to him, "and if you'd both died? What then?" "That will never happen", Bodoku said matter of factly. Zayla stood, "you two are so stupid and pig headed, if things keep going the way they are, you're both going to end up like my father..." she rushed towards the door heading out. "Zayla wait!" Tidus went to follow and almost crumpled to the ground but Bodoku swooped beside him and helped him to the sofa, "relax an hour, give the solution time to work, I'll take care of her". Tidus nodded. Bodoku went to the door then glanced back to Tidus knowing that everyone was different and if the antidote he gave him didn't work he'd have to give him another or he'd die. He sighed and closed the door walking over to Tidus and sitting on the ground next to the sofa. "What about Zayla...?" "I can't leave you". "Don't worry about me..." he closed his eyes unable to stop himself from falling asleep. Bodoku felt his pulse, he couldn't yet tell if the antidote was working, he sighed. "Zayla..."
