Commander Melsh pov

I wake up and head to the command center in the base next to the temple. When I arrive I see literally everyone gathered here. The entire jedi council 3 fleet admirals the chancellor all on the holotable. "generals, admirals, chancellor." I bow. And I join the conversation. "we must stop the growing threat I heard the separatists are going to launch an attack on naboo." General Windu said. "how big of a separatist fleet are we talking about?" I ask. "15 cruisers and 1 dreadnought." One of the fleet admirals said. "how long?" liyla asked. "1 week. We will be sending the 3 fleet admirals to reinforce you and master Kenobi and general skywalker will be joining as well." The chancellor said.

After a bit more talking the meeting ends and I start ordering the troops to set up a defensive blockade around the city and 5 squads to protect the gungans. "will we have enough forces to protect the temple?" Alice asks. "no commander but the 212th and the coruscant guard will be sending men down here to help" I tell her. "temple guards joining us they will 10 of them enroute." The green grand master says. "thank you general." I tell him when he nods and walks off. "commander melsh I would like to speak you." Liyla asks when I walk to her. " melsh are those commando's still available?" she asks. "they have not been assigned a new mission yet why?" "I want you to call them and let them protect my family they won't leave there home I think and they are in a non-secure area." "I will get them on it." I assure her when I head to the communications center. "officer make contact with delta squad." "right away." When the hologram of sergeant boss appears I begin. "sergeant I have a job for you." "oh really does it have to do with the upcoming invasion of naboo?" "yes, I want your squad to protect a family they won't leave their house but they won't be safe. It is the general her family." "I understand I will be enroute." "good see you soon."

-1 day later-

By now all the reinforcements have arrived and the family of the general after a long discussion accepted the guards. "any orders generals?" I ask general Kenobi, skywalker, morin and Yoda. "no commander you are dismissed please leave us." Kenobi says when Cody waves at me from the door to tell me to come to him. "it is a private meeting." Cody informs me. "oh, ok. What do we do now?" I ask. "keep the base running I guess." Cody then tells me. "I am going to the mess to eat, want to join me with rex?" "sure I'll call him." Cody tells me when I leave for the mess hall.

When I enter the mess I see it is crowded and a big fight is going on between member of the 212th and the 894th "STAND DOWN!" I yell when the entire mess shuts up. "what is the reason behind this?!" I yell. "just a small disagreement... nothing to serious commander." One of the 212th troopers says. "I hope for you." I say cold when everyone returns to their seats. Then rex and Cody walk in with commander soyil. "captain, commanders you're here!" I say a bit happy when I give a serious face. "the 212th got in a fight with my men." I tell the commander when he sighs. "they were not thrilled to work together with your battalion I heard. I'm sorry melsh." "no worries I put everyone on their place." "good now let's eat!" commander soyil says. When we sit down commander soyil speaks up "commanders, captain what is your opinion on the war if I may ask." "my real opinion? Commander-" "no say Alice we are not on the battlefront here." She cuts him off. "Alice, we were bread for war without it we would not even exist. But it is a thing that kills so many..." Cody answers. "Alice, rex, Cody , melsh. May I join?" liyla asks. "of course general." Both rex and Cody say when I say. "come sit with us liyla we like more company!" I say happy when Cody and rex look at me with a face of where the hell is your dignity? "rex, Cody don't worry here we speak to each other by their first name when not in formal surroundings." Liyla defends me when Alice looks at us almost dying to tell everyone. When I shoot her a face of : DON'T YOU DARE. "I don't know about you melsh but I think we should get back to work." Commander Cody says after a while.
