Chapter 2

Luna's home is lovely and I have a room on the top floor. To think of it, I was on top of a tree and almost died. I went downstairs and opened the door and went to the pond. Did I see fish with mermaid tails? I giggled a bit. I think it's funny. Then Luna came outside and she said she had to go to the village to work. I nodded and smiled. As she walked away she turned back and hugged me.

"It's nice to have a friend. I hope you like it here?" Luna said and then paused

"Oh, Blade," I said

"I love that name! I hope you enjoy it here, see you soon!" Luna said walking away.

I went back inside and I found a sketchbook that was from luna.

Dear Blade, I got you this sketchbook for you to draw. I hope you can find something here to draw and write about! –From Luna your new friend

I smiled and took the sketchbook and went to find a pencil or something. I found this ink pencil and I went outside and went to the pond to draw. I saw fish with mermaid tails so I started sketching out the merfish. I made sure to draw every detail into the drawing. I wrote about what colors they had and even how fast they could swim. I saw a sunrise firefly land on the water then fish eat it whole.

I wrote down what they ate (Merfish eat sunrise fireflies). I was shocked about that, I honestly thought the merfish was going to die. I got up and looked at the trees and started to draw them. As I was drawing, I made sure to add texture to the cotton-like leaves. I wondered what kind of wood it was then I saw a sign (Cherry cottonwood).

After 4 hours of drawing, I had 10 pages done. I was exhausted so I went to my room and fell asleep. I woke up and I could smell something cooking. Did I leave something on? I don't remember making anything. I got up in a panic and I got up way too fast then my head started spinning. I got changed and opened my door and walked downstairs. As I went down the stairs I could hear someone moving things around. I turned the counter and it was Luna she was cooking and for a second I thought someone broke in.

She was wearing an apron and she was humming a song. It was calm and I wanted to sit down when I heard that song. I felt I was in a trance to relax or a song you hear before you die. We ate and then there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get that," Luna said going to the door

"Can I help you?" luna asked

"Knight Luna, the queen sent me to get you the dark queen has awakened," Knight said in a panic

"How we trapped the dark queen ages ago!" Luna yelled

"We need you to please help us." The knight said bowing down and running back

Luna ran to her room and changed very fast. She was very serious about this. Who's the dark queen? What is Luna not telling me?

"Blade stay inside and whatever you do DON'T LEAVE!" Luna yelled and ran out of the house

Am I the only one who's confused? I locked the door and closed the curtains as I sat here not doing anything even though I should have been helping. Although I can't fight, let alone use a sword and kill people or things. I felt like a jerk not helping Luna. She might need help. I left the house and got a sword and some armor with a shield. To be honest I have zero clue what I'm going to do. I found the queen's castle and there were dark purple clouds on one side. There were these creatures that looked like zombies but mutated.
