Chapter 74

Selena's POV....

We all got ready, and was hopefully prepared to take down Black Masked once and for all. Jackson was driving, Eveyln was sitting in the passenger seat, I was sitting behind her, Kaitlyn next to me and Ava was sitting behind her dad, next to Kaitlyn.

It was too silent. The fear and nervous breaths could be heard as well as the loud heartbeats.

"I know we're on a suicide mission but can we at least have some music to calm our brains and possibly our heart rates, you know in case it's our last song we hear?" Kaitlyn asked.

"Dude seriously?" Ava said.

"That isn't exactly courageously speaking..." Jackson said.

"Its Black Masked, c'mon." Kaitlyn said shrugging.

"Uhm... okay? Uh- Evelyn?" I asked her.

"Hmm?" She asked looking at me nervously.

"Could you uhmm...." I asked pointing at the music system.

"Oh right." After a few seconds of connecting it with her phone she started playing a song which caused Kaitlyn and Ava to both looked at me.

"This song-" I said as Evelyn played Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You.

"Yes? Oh- I know it was your uncle Brandon's favorite song... I just thought you could of use it as an peace and calmness for the nerve wreckings." She said.

"Thanks but how'd you know that?" I asked her. Everyone looked at her a bit tensed.

"Oh, uhm... Veronica told me." She said with a nervous looking smile as I returned a smile back. That isn't creepy at all...

Veronica's POV....

I immediately ran out the building breathlessly, until I saw two vehicles parked out to the front. One of them looks like Scott's.

"Hey!" I screamed while running waving my hands.

"Veronica!" I heard Scott's voice. I quickly ran towards him embracing each other into a tight hug, I realize now the next vehicle is Michael's.

"Michael! Uncle- I mean- mom is... mom is.." I started, breaking the hug but I was so out of breath to the point I couldn't talk.

"Ronnie! Ronnie! It's okay...breath! Deep breaths... in and out c'mon! Are you hurt?" Scott asked with his hands on my shoulders trying to calm me down.

"No.." I said shaking myself head still trying to gasp for air.

"Here's some water." Michael said handing me a bottle of water.

"Mom is- she's- she's..." I said after sipping a little bit of water.

"What- Veronica, where's your mother? Where's Aria?" Michael asked looking at me.

"She's-" As I were about to speak another vehicle pulled up. It was Selena and the others.

"Veronica!" They called me rushing towards me.

"Guys!" I cried as we engulfed into a one big hug. Ava smiled a little after we broke the hug.

"What's going on?" Jackson asked.

"That's what we're trying to find out." Scott said.

"Mom she said to tell Scott to meet her inside and then call you guys... Shit! You have to go now!" I said looking at him.

"What? What is she gonna do?" Scott asked.

"She's going after Black Masked." I said.

"Shit! Shit! You guys stay here... I'm gonna go!" Scott said.
