Leigh couldn't help but feel like Max was keeping something from her. She knew how he had been distant with her. And she didn't know why.

She knew how Max went when he was hiding something. She hated it. She just wanted to know what it was.

Leigh also knew how she was still trying to make up her mind about whether or not she wanted to move in with Tom.

Her whole head was a mess and she couldn't make her mind. She knew how much of a mess it all was.

All she knew was that there was too much going on in her mind. And she couldn't deal with it.

When she woke that morning, she heard Max downstairs on the phone. She sighed as she knew he was arguing with someone.

She climbed out of bed and walked downstairs. She looked to him. "What's going on? Who's pissed in your cornflakes?" Leigh asked.

Max rolled his eyes. "Idiots. They don't know how to keep their opinions to themselves. And it's driving me insane," he told her.

"I agree. You've got your favourite sister though. You don't need anyone else," Leigh said as she made herself a hot chocolate.

Max smiled and nodded. He knew he was keeping something from her. But he couldn't tell her.

He knew that everything was just getting more and more messier.

Leigh went into school. She smiled as she saw Grace. "Hey. I heard you went to see Olivia. Is she okay?" Leigh asked.

Grace shook her head. She sighed. "She's not doing so good. I don't know how much more she can cope with."

Leigh pulled her best friend into an hug. She looked to her. "She'll be okay. She's tough. She's like you."

Grace shrugged and sighed. She smiled. "Did you make up your mind about moving into toms? I know you were legit so confused about it?"

Leigh groaned and shook her head. She sighed. "I honestly don't know. I want to. So that we can make it work. I just don't know if I can leave my brother. He's hiding something and I'm worried about him."

"Talk to him. It'll be okay. I know it will," Grace said as she hugged her.

Leigh sighed and nodded. But she didn't know what she was going to do.

Tom walked into the common room. He saw Leigh and sat with her. "You still haven't given me an answer. About if you want to move in with me," he said.

Leigh looked to him and smiled. She shook her head. "No. I haven't made a decision yet. I'm not dragging my feet. I just... Max isn't himself. And I'm worried about him. I don't know what to do."

Tom took her hand. "I know how you're feeling. Max has always been there for you. But you have to live your own life too."

***
Leigh walked along the corridor. She saw Max talking to a woman. She walked over and listened in. "You need to tell her the truth Max. Before I do."

"You'll do no such thing. If you even think about it, I will make your life a living hell," Max spat as he turned and walked off.

Leigh stood there and frowned. Not realising how Max's secret was about to blow her life apart.
