Leigh couldn't help but feel like there was something going on with Max. She knew him. And she knew when he was keeping something from her.

He was hiding something. And she knew that it was no doubt something to do with her. She needed answers. But she knew him. And she knew he wasn't going to tell her.

She had asked Grace to find out. But he wouldn't even tell her. Leigh was going to do all she could to find out what Max was keeping from her.

She knew it wasn't going to be easy. Getting Max to break was never easy. He was as guarded as Azkaban prison.

Leigh had been thinking about asking Tom. He knew Tom had formed a friendship with Max. So it would be him, if anyone, who could get Max to open up.

All she knew was that it was a mess. And she hated secrets being kept from her. She just needed answers.

Morning came and she walked into the kitchen. Max was there making coffee. But so was Grace. "Oh. This is interesting. What's going on here?" Leigh asked.

Grace smiled. "I actually came to see you. See if you fancied coming in with me today. And I got distracted talking to the extremely handsome Max," she said.

Leigh raised her eyebrows. She knew there was something going on with her best friend and brother. But she knew as long as Max was happy, she didn't mind.

"Sure. I need to talk to you anyways. Max, anything you want to say?" Leigh asked as she turned to her brother.

Max rolled his eyes and sighed. "No. Why would there be?"

"You tell me brother dear. You're the one who's being secretive. Who was that woman the other week?" She asked.

Max scoffed. "You're annoying. You know that don't you?" He said as he walked out.

Grace turned to her best friend. "You know, winding him up won't get you what you want," she said.

"I know."

Leigh and Grace went into school. Grace smiled. "Liv called. She said she wants me to go and visit her. She's asked for you too. Fancy it?"

"Sure. I miss my unofficial little sister. Is she okay?"

"Not really. But she will be. She's gonna be fine," Grace told her as she smiled. "Do you really think that woman means it? What she said about telling you or she will?"

Leigh shrugged and sighed. "I don't know. It feels so messy," she said. She smiled  she looked to Tom. "Hey. Can I ask you a favour?"

Tom nodded. "Go on."

"Talk to my brother and see what he's hiding? You're his friend. So he might talk to you more," she told him.

Tom frowned. He reluctantly nodded. But he didn't really want to. "Fine. But if I lose my job, you're on a sex ban," he told her.

Leigh was sitting in the common room. Max walked in and slammed the door. "Stop it."

"What?"

Max glared. "Stop sending people to talk to me. I am allowed my secrets Leigh. Now stop it," he said. He was getting sick and tired of this.

Leigh sighed as she looked to him. She shook her head. "Fine. If you're going to keep this from me, I'm going to ask what's her name the truth," she said as she stood up and walked off.

But could Max stop Leigh from speaking to the one person who could ruin everything?
