Leigh looked to Max and frowned. "What do you mean? I've been lied to my whole life? Am I not your sister?" She asked. She needed answers now. Knowing how it was getting too much for her.

Max sighed. "Look I know you need answers for this. But I don't know what to say. This isn't the time or the place for this conversation," he told her.

"No! You don't get to do this. You don't get to automatically avoid this conversation for weeks and then decide now isn't the time or place. It's not making sense," Leigh said.

Max nodded and smiled. "I get that. I really do. But tonight. Come home early and we can talk. I promise," he said.

"Fine. But if we don't talk tonight, then I'm completely done with it all. It's not fair on me. Whatever this is, it changes my whole life. And I'm not too sure I can handle it."

"Whatever happens, I am always here. It hasn't been easy. I know that. But you'll always have me," Max said.

Leigh said nothing as she walked out. She knew she couldn't handle all the secrets and lies. And she just needed it to be okay somehow. But it wasn't.

She knew that. She saw Grace who smiled. "Did you talk to him?" She asked.

Leigh nodded. "Yeah. He said we'll talk tonight. What the hell is he keeping from me that he can't tell me here? Seriously. I don't even know what to think anymore."

Grace sighed and smiled. "Maybe talk to him at home? I know we had plans. But we can push them back. This is more important," she said.

"Are you sure?"

Grace nodded. She looked to her and smiled. "Trust me when I say, I have something to do tonight. So you find out what's going on with your brother. And I'll do what I need to do," she told her.

Leigh smiled as Tom walked over to her. She grinned as he pulled her into an empty classroom. She looked to him and winked. "Mr Clarkson. You horn dog."

Tom rolled his eyes. "I didn't want you for that you banana. I'm just thinking that when you've talked to Max, I could take you out for some food. What you saying?" He asked.

Leigh shrugged and smiled. "Yeah I guess. It depends on what he has to tell me. Maybe I'm adopted and I may have a normal family," she joked.

"You're Max's twin. I hope you know that. You look so much like him."

"Yeah don't jinx me that way please. I'm a way hotter version of him."

Tom laughed. "No I'm just saying. Maybe you could pass for his daughter. You're practically identical," he said.

Leigh shook her head. "No I don't think it's that. There's obviously something going on that he doesn't want me knowing about," she told him.

Leigh looked up as Max walked into the house. He sighed and sat with her. "I know this isn't going to be easy at all."

"Max. Just tell me."

Max looked to her and sighed. "I think I may be your father," he said.

Leigh looked to him in absolute shock. But was he really her father? Or was there something more?
