Asher awoke as the morning beams began to stream across his face, he blinked twice and noticed that he was laying on his back, a hard concrete beneath him. He rolled onto his stomach and looked around, he was still in the train station, the other Elementals scattered throughout. Ash spied the purple and red Dutchie sitting atop a downed walkway, staring up at the sun as it rose, his feet swinging freely. The Drago-wolf stood weakly, falling briefly before rising again and flexing his wings. He felt a pain in his back but as the seconds passed, he felt his strength returning. With a single flick of his wings, he landed on the large metal structure, next to the Dutchie before sitting his haunches down and watching the sunrise.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Anarchy asked.
"Yeah, I know we only saw it a week ago, but... this time it feels real," Asher replied. "Did we win?" Anarchy nodded. "So it's over? Everything we worked towards over the past few years? It's just... done?"
"Yeah."
"So there's no more fighting to be done? Tsubaki and I can live together without fear of losing each other."
"I can't guarantee that, there will always be someone trying to take your happiness away, but as long as you have each other," Anarchy explained.
A soft moan came from beneath them, Ash turned to see Tsubaki rubbing his head and looking around at his team. The Drago-wolf leapt from the metal walkway and landed beside his mate, licking Tsubaki's cheek and going in for a hug. The others slowly woke up and joined Tsubaki, staring at the sun as it rose. This was a new day for everyone, the Forever Dark had been beaten, Ruin had been killed. Darkness was fading. This new day brought with it a peace that the Darkness from the Dark World was gone, the plane itself had faded away with its ruler, the Void Elements vanishing from those with it coursing through them. A new era of peace was about to begin.
Anarchy leapt down to them and created a Portal back to The Agency. Together, the team and the First Borns stepped through and were immediately greeted by Stacey, Angus, Sean, and the King in the large briefing room, all of whom wore smiles and cheered for their arrival. Stacey hugged Asher as Tsubaki explained that they had won.
The Humans went to go and tell others, leaving the Elementals alone in the briefing room.
"Tsubaki," Kydjo began. "I know that we sort of went over this before, but thank you for everything. We have a home now, one where the sun shines on us."
"Of course," Tsubaki replied. "And you have the entire basin now, I think for the time being we'll be on this side of the mountains, so you have free reign over there."
"Thank you again, if it's alright with you, we wanna head back to our people."
Tsubaki nodded and watched as the Sergal's stepped through a Portal that Anarchy had created. A nudge came from Tsubaki's left, he turned to see Braxton standing beside him, awkwardly avoiding his gaze while looking at the floor.
"What's up, Brax?" He asked.
"I am also... going," the Spaniel replied.
"Oh?"
"Avalanche is out there somewhere, I can feel it. And I'm going to find him. I want to spend some time just traveling the world and looking for my mate." Braxton closed his eyes in fear of Tsubaki's response.
The Wolf simply ruffled his hair and smiled. "Of course, I'm not upset you wanna find your mate, I'm glad you finally feel brave enough to follow your own path. I hope you find him, and if you need help, we'll be there."
"Thank you so much," Brax wrapped his arms around Tsubaki before departing.
"We are also going to take some time to ourselves," Kunai walked over with Elena on his shoulder.
