(Y/n's POV)

"WHERE THE HELL ARE RALSEI AND LANCER."

"The hell do you mean where are Ralsei and Lancer?" I asked. "Uh, DO YOU SEE THEM ANYWHERE? I THINK THAT EXPLAINS ITSELF!!" she screamed. I helped Kris up and looked around the classroom. "What's that in your hand?" I asked. She opened it and realized it was-

"A card.." she said, slowly realizing what Ralsei meant. "Not the way I expected, I guess," she said disappointed. Kris walked up to me shoving a sheet of paper in their pocket. I noticed they seemed much more stiff than usual. "Where's... what did Ralsei turn into..?" Susie asked. "...Junior Jumble," they said more monotone than usual. Something's off with them. I can just tell. We walked towards the door and opened it. "We'll just jump back in again so they'll come back and--"

The entire class was right outside.

We've been busted.

Kris' mom stood right in front of us.

We all gulped from the trouble we were about to be in.

"Ms. Toriel.." Susie said. "So this is where you've been hiding the past couple of days Kris!" she said. "Ms. Toriel, if you'd let me explai-" "Y/n. Not a word out of you," she interrupted me. "M-Ms. Toriel, don't get upset! They were volunteering to get something for me! I-I'm sure they just gonna distracted along the way..." Alphys defended us.

"Is this really happening right now?-" Susie whispered.

"Susie not the time," I replied almost immediately.

"With what, making out in the closet?" Berdly snickered, making the entire class laugh. I felt livid. I felt like I wanted to cry, and kill someone at the same time. Susie didn't seem as annoyed as I was, and Kris had no expression, but me?

I was about to beat that bird's ass.

Kris could clearly tell I was angry and put their hand on my shoulder but I wasn't focused on that. I was focused on the thought that every day when we'd come into class this day forward, someone would be snickering because while we were running for our lives, they thought we were all making out because of Berdly's stupid joke. I jumped at him before Kris pulled me back. "Just relax, I don't want you getting arrested," they whispered. "You know you two would just bail me out, the police here are lousy anyways," I whispered back. "While it's nice you're getting closer with your friends, you can't just skip class to goof off with them, Kris! There's a time and place for things, you understand?" Toriel grew closer. "...Yes..." they said quietly. "Good. Now you three run back to class. We'll discuss this more at home, Kris," she said as we walked off. "Oh and Y/n? I'll be giving your mother a call. You aren't getting away from this either," she said. I inhaled deeply in frustration. "D-don't you worry about that sample diorama! I'm s-sure you all know what I mean anyway! Or can just look it up online..." Alphys said.

"I wonder what this means for us now," Susie said. We were on our way home, planning to stop by Susie's before I walk Kris to their house and go home. "Well, we're probably grounded," I elbowed Kris. "Probably? My mom isn't gonna let me talk to you guys for months," they sulked. "It's alrighttt Kris, I have my ways to get to you,~" I sang. "Y/n, the last time you tried sneaking out your mom caught you on camera and took your phone for a month!" they laughed. "You guys get caught sneaking out? HA! Get better, get like me," she winked, pointing to herself. "Hey hey, leave me out of 'you guys' I can sneak out ten times better than Y/n," Kris chuckled. "I'm literally RIGHT HERE!!!" I folded my arms. "Oh c'mon Y/n, you know I'm just teasing," they bent down to my level, tilting my head up with a finger. I felt my entire body fill with butterflies and basically melted.
