(Y/n's POV)
We took Putton's directions and headed into the mountain. Although I had a pretty bad feeling... a feeling that this wouldn't be as easy as it seemed. The entire inside looked like a dig site. We shrugged and decided to go down some stairs.
"I thought the fountain would be here..." Ralsei said nervously. "We still need to find Seam first," Kris reminded. "We're not gonna have to search this WHOLE mountain, are we? That'll take forever!" Lancer complained.
"Maybe less time than you assume."
We snapped our heads around and noticed Seam laying on a hammock. "HEY!" Susie screamed, as we continued down the steps to meet them. "Oh dear, and some part of me hoped they wouldn't be right..." they sighed. "Thank goodness you're alright! We're here to rescue you, and bring you back home!" Ralsei exclaimed.
"That so? Not interested," they said lazily, turning around to not face us.
We stared at him confused before Susie stepped forward. "YOU CAN'T BE 'NOT INTERESTED!' DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SMELLY JUNGLE WE HAD TO WALK THROUGH TO RESCUE YOU?!" she yelled. "NOT TO MENTION US ALMOST FUCKING KILLING OURSELVES THROUGH THAT LIGHTNING HELL TO GET YOUR ASS BACK HOME!!" I stepped up too. "Haha...lots I'm sure. But still no interest," they waved off. "You gotta come back with us! How'm I supposed to rule right if my subjects are missing?!" Lancer said. "We don't know if the Lightners can rebuild our kingdom without everyone there!" Ralsei continued. "Princes without subjects... that's the least of what you don't know," they said ominously. "You sure this is the friend you were looking for?? Seems to be a bit of a downer," Aeslir whispered. "Hm, another one...? Hehe. Oh my. You don't even realize what you're doing, don't you?" they sighed. "Walked through a lot of jungle and dangerous jungle and zappy puzzles to get here, I think," Lancer said.
"Sewing the two fabrics together, stitch by stitch. A thread of many colors, binding light to dark. Don't you see?" they said.
"I see this is way too much talking! Just come with us already!" Susie whined. "Few things more disappointing than a cruel person being correct. The poison it used on my friend's mind... It's bitter," they continued. "Seam... can't you plainly tell us what's wrong?" Ralsei asked. "And please, please stop speaking in metaphors," I facepalmed. "No. My words don't matter anyway. Neither do my choices. Or yours," they said flatly. They eased out of the hammock. "I know if I continue to refuse, you'll force the issue. But before the inevitable conclusion... There's a thing or two I'd like to know. For my own curiosity," they said. We got into a defensive stance, knowing what was bound to happen. "Perhaps I'm nostalgic, back in this place," they said, slowly taking out a huge sewing needle. "I greatly used to miss the games Jevil and I used to play together,"
"So, let's play."
*BATTLE START*
* A pattern is emerging!
"Seam, none of us want to fight you! Please, end this peacefully as quick as possible!" Ralsei begged us. Our soul appeared as Seam sent a bunch of scissors our way. "Well, let's test that first," they said. They cut up the land we were standing on, separating us all from each other. "What the HELL?!" I screamed as I drifted away from everyone else. "Kris? Y/n? Where is everybody?" I heard distantly. "Ralsei?! Where are you?!" Kris called out. "So, can you act on you own?" Seam said to who I presume is Ralsei. It went quiet for a moment before they spoke again. "Heehee. How curious," they said. "What do you want us to do?" Ralsei asked. "Oh, there's nothing you can do," they said bluntly.
