Noelle Joined the Party!

{ Y/n's POV }

Noelle introduced herself as I walked up to Susie, dragging her away from everyone else.

  "Why are you lying to her? Just tell her the truth! It won't be long until she figures out that this isn't a dream, and what happens if she gets terribly hurt an-"

   "That won't. Happen. I'll make sure of it. This Dark World stuff is our thing, Y/n. Just me, you, and Kris. We kept it secret for a reason, and I'm not letting this little slip-up ruin this for us," Susie said coldly. 

I sighed.

  "Fine. We'll cover for you. But be prepared to tell her the truth if shit hits the fan," I agreed, as she nodded.

 We returned to the others when I saw Kris with Ralsei, talking about Noelle.

   "Did you mean to bring this Lightner with you? Is she trustworthy?" Ralsei asked. "..I think so," Kris replied. "As long as she keeps thinking this is a dream, she should be. Noelle's a kind soul," I added, throwing my arm around Kris' shoulder. "It's more Lightners than are in the prophecy, but... so much has happened, and we've found all these extra fountains, who even knows with the prophecy right now! She seems very nice, and well... the more friends, the better, I say!" he smiled, walking up to her. 

  "It's nice to meet you, Noelle! I'm glad to see Kris, Susie, and Y/n with more friends. If you're ready to join the party, we can get going! This land is new to all of us, too!" he grinned. "ME? I can help you fix things?" Noelle pointed at herself. "Yes," Kris said plainly. "Yeah, sure! Why not? We could use the help," I added, folding my arms.

Noelle suddenly got a wooden staff that kinda looked like antlers, with bells attached to it, as the fanfare music welcomed her as a new party member.

  "W-where is that music coming from..." she asked confusedly.

    "You'll get used to it, don't worry about it," I pat her back as we started to walk off.

  As we journeyed through the feathers, Noelle was rambling on about how real this dream felt and how much she wished she could dream like this more often. I couldn't help but feel bad for her, knowing the truth. 

  "Wait, is that why you guys aren't in class all the time? Because you skip class to have... I don't know, conjoined dreams or something? Is that even a thing?" she giggled. 

   "They're n-"

  "Of COURSE they are! Heh, yup! You've caught us! That's what we've been doing all these weeks! Sleeping in with our... conjoined dreams!" Susie interrupted Kris, as I facepalmed. Why was she digging herself even deeper into this lie? 

   "Wow, really? That must take so much effort to do it consistently.." Noelle muttered. "I'm honestly surprised Berdly didn't say anything about us being missing from class again," Kris wondered. "O-oh, um, that's probably because of.. Susie and Y/n. You guys definitely spooked him... especially after beating him up..." Noelle said nervously. 

Oh, right! I honestly forgot about that.

Whatever, he deserved it.

 ...STUPID LITTLE-

   "Oh, hey! There's a tree in the distance!" Lancer pointed out. "Then we go that way," Kris pointed as we trudged toward the tree. "Woah, Kris! You're the party leader?" Noelle gasped. "Yes! Well, rather, Kris and Y/n. They've never steered us wrong yet. They're both real heroes," Ralsei jumped in. "A very cute hero," Kris smiled cheekily, as they kissed me on the cheek. I blushed and squirmed. "K-KRIS!" I squealed as they giggled at me. "Wow, Kris, Y/n! That's so cool!" Noelle gasped as Lancer popped out of the feathers. "Hey hey Susie, look! I found this broken pot someone probably used to stash money or salsa in! Bet you'd like to eat it, right?" he waved it around in Susie's face as she nervously took it from him. "Y-yeah, yeah, give me that..." she muttered as she walked faster, catching up to us.
