"Well, that's odd," Fiona stated when Klaus finished reading the telegram.

"It's Code," Sunny said bluntly.

"Sunny's right it's too peculiar just to be a call to action," said Violet.

"A couplet," Klaus whispered, clearly starstruck. He recognized Isadora's work anywhere.

"What's a couplet?" Fiona asked. Klaus opened his mouth but someone beat him to it.

"Bats, Spats." Beatrice babbled. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, all laughed, yet their faces couldn't hide the regret, and sadness, as they thought of the day they met their brave friends. Fiona gave an odd look to the tiny human, but let it go for the sake of time.

"Ok, let's start with the first line, March 26, Tuesday, VFD." Violet started. "Well, that's the date, I wish they would have put a year though, it would be helpful for the readers."

"Next line," Klaus stated, as he pulled out his commonplace notebook, which was a gift from Quigley himself. This gave Violet a tear, as it had every time her brother pulled out that book.

"Calling all volunteers," Violet said.

"Next"

"Please come to The place, where my one true love faced death, not the Last time, with wings of a bug for Safe," said Sunny, in clear perfect English, I tear up at how much this little girl has grown up.

"Wow, that's some riddle."

"Our mother was Lemony's one true love," Violet said as it finally dawned on her. "That's why he said he threw the dart, that's why he wanted to help us, that's why our mother wanted to name me Lemony!"

"Well, that makes sense, but where did mother almost die, because as we've learned, VFD comes with its fair share of risk," said Klaus.

"Maybe it has another clue somewhere," Fiona suggested.

"'In photographs, and in each public Place,

Snicket rarely shows his face.'" said Violet, remembering the girl who wrote poems just like this one. (AN, If you can tell me which ASOUE book this couplet is copied from, you will get a shout-out in the next chapter. Also, if ya don't know, don't look it up :)

"Why would they capitalize place, the word place itself is not a noun." Klaus pondered. "They capitalized The, Last, and Safe also.

"The last safe place," said Fernald, when he brought in some parsley soda. "See; The, Last, Safe, Place."

"Thanks, Fernald," said Kalus and Fiona at the same time, which I have to say, was super, super creepy.

"So, we are supposed to go to the new last safe place, because the last one burned down," Violet said.

"Keep reading" Suggested Sunny.

"But 5 olives says he will When a threat is faced." said Violet."

"It's VFD," said Klaus, you smart readers might know which VFD he's talking about, but I bet 1 million dollars Sunshine Baudelaire beat you to it.

"Verbal Fridge Dialogue!" said Sunny excitedly.

"The number of olives," Violet started,

"The number of days of the week." Klaus finished.

"Thursday," said Fiona, finally catching on, like most of you readers I suppose. I guess that is what Fiona is, a reader, who gets a guest staring appearance. But, sadly for her, she doesn't know all the secrets of the Baudelaire tale. After all, she is not a Baudelaire. Neither am I though, and I seem to know the details pretty well. Who am I you ask, well, you'll find out.

"'A threat'?" Sunny said. "Like Count Olaf, but he's dead,"

"It could be those frighting arsonists atop Mount Fraught with peculiar hair," said Violet.

"Like the Man With A Beard But No Hair, and the Woman With Hair But No Beard ?" Fiona asked, knowing more about the average and not-so-average VFD villain.

"Those are the ones," Klaus said. "Did they die in the hotel fire?"

"The MWABBNH died, but the WWHBNB survived. That must be the enemy Lemony is talking about."

"Ok, so, we are to go to the last safe place, in 2 days, all the volunteers will be there. That's all I have." Klaus said when the telegram machine started buzzing again.
