Sunny was sitting outside Catherine's grave.
"Crazy how shit happens" Sunny laughed to herself while drinking whatever alcohol was in her hand.
"Sunny, let's go home" Sarah said standing by Sunny.
"Why, we all die anyway, might as well sit here" Sunny said
"Sunny you are so drunk" Sarah rolled her eyes
"No you are" Sunny said finishing the bottle.
"Give me the bottle" Sarah said
"Why, it's empty, see" Sunny said tipping the bottle over to show off it's empty.
"Come on, Bailey's in the car let's go" Sarah said
"No, I can't go home, hell, it's just a house, it isn't a home, it's empty, we might have a bunch of shit but it's empty, Sarah it's empty" Sunny started to cry. Sarah sat down next to Sunny. Giving her a hug.
"Sunny" Sarah sighed
"I want mom back" Sunny said
"I do too" Sarah said
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" Sunny said
"Why, it's not your fault" Sarah said
"I know but, you're stuck raising Bailey" Sunny said
"That's ok, makes up for not being able to have kids" Sarah laughed then sighed
"What a day" Sunny said
"Yeah what a day" Sarah agreed as Bailey came running over to them
"I thought you guys were coming" Bailey said
"Just talkin to mom" Sunny said
"I wish we could talk to her in person" Bailey sighed sitting by Sarah
"What do you mean, she's right here" Sunny said gesturing the grave
"She's drunk" Sarah said
"I figured" Bailey said
"Yeah" Sarah sighed
"I miss mom" Bailey said
"Me too" Sarah said
"That's why I'm drinking" Sunny said
"You're done drinking" Sarah said
"Why I'm not even drunk" Sunny said
"She totally is" Bailey said
"Let's go home" Sarah said
"You go home if you want too, but I'm staying here" Sunny said
"What's your problem Sunny, you can't sit here and sorrow your whole life" Sarah said
"Mom just died two days ago, you want me to move on like that" Sunny said
"No Sunny, but you can't hang out in self pitty" Sarah said
Sunny just started crying.
"Sarah" Bailey said shaking her head.
"It's true" Sarah said
"It's been two days, when dad died you were the same way, let her grieve" Bailey said hugging Sunny
"Go home Sarah" Sunny said
"Fine, sit here, good luck getting home, come on Bailey" Sarah said
"I'm staying here, go Sarah" Bailey said
"Bye" Sunny said
"Fine, bye" Sarah said

"Sorry about her" Bailey said
"It's fine" Sunny sighed

The next morning
Elle's house
"Hey Elle" Shawn said walking through Elle's door to check on her. By this point the kids were at school. Shawn might have moved out a while ago but it still felt like home to him. And he knew Elle would take Catherine's death hard.
"Hi Shawn" Elle said from the kitchen filling her wine glass.
"How are you doing" Shawn asked seeing her fill a wine glass at 8 in the morning
"Fine" Elle said drinking the wine she poured
"You don't look fine" Shawn said
"Cause I'm not, I'm drinking wine at 8 in the fucking morning" Elle said starting to yell
"Then why did you say you aren't" Shawn asked
"I lost the love of my life Shawn" Elle yelled again this time throwing the bottle at the ground spilling wine everywhere.
"I thought I was the love of your life" Shawn said louder than he thought
"I thought so too" Elle said
"But I'm not, it was all a waste, these past years all fake" this time Shawn was yelling
"It wasn't fake, the way I loved you was real, I love our kids and everything it's just" Elle stopped herself.
"Just what" Shawn asked he wanted to know
"The way Catherine makes me feel, it's just it's different, I love her, I like you" Elle said
"What" Shawn questioned
"Look Shawn, what we had wasn't true love, if that even exists, we met when we were young, things just ended with Catherine, I was sad and forced myself to love you and as our relationship went on my feelings for Catherine I pushed away resurfaced but, I tried to push them away, but they grew and now she's dead and it's to late" Elle yelled she had tears in her eyes
"Elle, I'm sorry" is all Shawn said hugging a crying Elle
"I just love her so much" Elle said through sobs
"She doesn't deserve you" Shawn said hugging Elle
"What" Elle asked
"She never was good for you Elle, she forced you to cheat, she never told you she loved you" Shawn said
"Shawn shut up, you don't know what happened you have no right to say anything" Elle yelled pushing Shawn away going to clean up the wine
"Then what happend" Shawn asked
"First time, was the night of our third year anniversary, the river had messed with us, I was upset, so I slept with Catherine, the second time was on vacation, I came onto Catehrine both times, I more of used her than her using me" Elle said
"Why" Shawn asked that's all his tiny brain could think of
"Because I love her, that's why, everyone blames her, it was all me, I kept her on a leash like a fucking puppy, I lead her on for years, I even had your kids, she stayed with Josh because she thought eventually she could leave him for me, but I was too fucking stubborn to leave you, and I was scared, scared of the truth that my feelings for her never left" Elle said
"You're selfish" Shawn said "you made everyone think you're the victim"
"I know and I'm sorry, I'm sorry to everyone, when Catherine died she apologized to me in my arms, she died thinking it was her fault, she died not loving me this way anymore, she was over me" Elle cried again
"Maybe you should move on too, I know she died, I know it hurts, but therapy might be something to try" Shawn said
"Maybe" Elle said
"I'll take the kids" Shawn said
"What, they're our kids Shawn, we have an agreement" Elle said
"Not forever, just until you get better, Catherine just died, I know, but having a bottle of wine finished by eight in the morning isn't good, Elle" Shawn said
"I know, you're right I should just be over Catherine's death right now, it's been two days" Elle rolled her eyes
"Not what I'm saying Elle, I'm saying there's better ways to cope and I can help you if you let me in" Shawn said
"Shawn" Elle sighed "I'm just embarrassed"
"I know you are, but there's no shame in asking for help" Shawn said
"Thanks Shawn" Elle said hugging Shawn
"I'm here for you" Shawn said "what did you love about Catherine"
"Catherine's fingers, man they did wonders.. don't get me started on her tongue" Elle said drinking her wine
"No more wine" Shawn said leaving the kitchen with Elle to living room.
"I'll tell Hope she can choose, if she wants to stay with me or you, we can't choose for them" Elle said
"That's true" Shawn said as her and Elle sat on couch.
