Sunny's House

Sunny finally returned home
"Where were you" Sarah asked
"Out" Sunny replied
"Out where" Sarah asked
"It doesn't matter, I'm here now" Sunny said
"You're so much like mom" Sarah mumbled under her breath
"Is that such a bad thing" Sunny questioned
"You don't understand, you never saw mom for who she was" Sarah said
"At least I loved mom" Sunny said
"You don't get it Sunny" Sarah said
"Get what? That you hate mom" Sunny replied
"Sunny, I ruined her life and you saved it, that's how we are so different" Sarah said
"That's not true" Sunny said
"Yes, yes it is, I'm Josh's child, the reason mom hates me, just read her diary" Sarah said "you know the "Sunny's the favorite child" jokes were actually jokes"
"What" Sunny questioned
"Do you ever think you weren't dad's biological child" Sarah questioned
"No" Sunny replied
"I wonder it sometimes, I loved mom too Sunny, I just know more than you, I've seen it all, and I've hid you and Bailey from it" Sarah said
"Hid us from what, how terrible mom was, go ahead Sarah tell me, tell me how bad of a person she was" Sunny said
"She never wanted to be a mom Sunny, dad wanted to be a dad, but not then, they both were way to young, they fought my whole childhood, mom wasn't around as often as it seemed, she would go out and club until the night ends, it was more of me and dad raising you than mom, when you got older mom saw something in you, she saw herself that's why mom clouds your judgment" Sarah said
"Is that why you left, is that why you left me and Bailey, you only came back on holidays, you only are here cause mom and dad are dead" Sunny yelled
"Sunny, you don't understand how bad it was" Sarah said "if you read moms diaries as we all did, you need to reread or at least the older ones, she almost killed herself cause she was pregnant with me, you saved her life and I almost ended it"
"You don't get to put that burden on me Sarah you left, you left us here to suffer, I loved mom, maybe I didn't see as much, but she was as broken as we all are, but I saw dad, he wasn't the lord and savior that you see" Sunny said
"Don't drag dad into this" Sarah said
"Why not, you dragged mom, our parents suck, dad baby trapped mom, I don't know how you don't see that, mom had three kids, the three kids she didn't want, she wanted to leave dad, she didn't like dad, dads not as innocent as you think Sarah, she couldn't leave cause dad got her pregnant" Sunny yelled
"Dad didn't baby trap mom" Sarah said
"Yes he did, mom wanted to abort Bailey, dad had a freak out, mom was ashamed cause dad made her feel ashamed so she kept Bailey, just cause that was Bailey doesn't mean it wasn't the same for us" Sunny said
"That doesn't sound like dad" Sarah said
"Shut up Sarah, you need to grow up, our parents aren't innocent, you're just like dad, dad saw mom and everyone else as innocent, no one is innocent not even you" Sunny said leaving to her room
"Sunny get back here" Sarah yelled folllowing Sunny
"What do you want" Sunny yelled
"You need to quit yelling Bailey is sleeping" Sarah said
"She's fucking thirteen she's fine" Sunny yelled
"True, and I'm not sleeping, you guys need to get along, and plus we have all read moms diaries" Bailey said joining them.
"Exactly, now I'm going to bed" Sunny said slamming the door to the basement
"Would you try to get along" Bailey said to Sarah, heading to her room

Sunny's room
Sunny threw on some pj pants and crawled into bed.
She laid there and stared at the ceiling.
She grabbed her phone and opened up her camera roll. A memory of her and Susan.
She just started crying cause of everything that day.

"Hey don't cry" Susan said sitting on her bed.
"Susan" Sunny questioned sitting up in bed
"It's me, Sunshine" Susan said
"How am I seeing you" Sunny asked
"The mind is a crazy thing" Susan said
"God I'm going crazy" Sunny said
"You're not crazy, Baby, you're just emotional so your mind created me" Susan said
"God I miss you" Sunny said
"I miss you too" Susan said kissing Sunny
"How can I feel that" Sunny asked
"I told you the mind is a crazy thing" Susan said
"Yeah, maybe you can mind control Sarah into being a better person" Sunny said
"I can't mind control, and plus only you know about me in this sort of way" Susan said
"Yeah I was a coward" Sunny said
"No, you were brave, you still are, and plus we had other shit going on" Susan said
"I guess, god I loved you" Sunny said
"I loved you, I still do" Susan said
"I do too" Sunny smiled. She wished it wasn't her mind creating Susan. She wished Susan was still here.
"Well, maybe you should try to understand Sarah, she didn't get a chance to understand Catherine and you didn't get a chance to understand Josh, you should talk, I mean actually talk not just fight, understand each other" Susan said
"You're right" Sunny sighed
"I'm always right" Susan said
"True" Sunny said
"Well, do you want to be my good girl one last time" Susan asked
"God the things you do to me" Sunny said
"Is that a yes" Susan asked
"Yes it is" Sunny smiled kissing Susan.

Morning
Sunny woke up alone in her bed.
"I hate dreams" Sunny said to herself sitting up. It was a weekend so no school.
Sunny checked her phone with a text from Hope
H: Can I come over today?
S: Yes
Sunny was happy to have Hope over. She needed her mind out of whatever last night was, offing herself over memories and crying. She needed to shower.
