Enjoy this slightly extended chapter
Outside the Owl House, Luz and Scorpion, her echo mouse, and King are trying new glyph combinations. The first one shown is of a small whirlwind, the second one is a water fountain, the third one is a petrification glyph that turns the Beefy Bob on top of it into stone, and Luz and Scorpion is then shown drawing a fourth glyph
She finishes drawing the glyph
Luz: Alright, maybe it's this one!
She activates the glyph, and a monstrous claw sprouts from it. Luz and Scorpion, upon seeing it, screams in surprise and backs up. Eda instantly bursts through the door, with her staff in hand, and destroys the claw, which turns into goo which splatters Owlbert, King, and Luz and Scorpion
Luz: Safe!
Both their and King wipe the goo off their faces
Luz: Thanks, Eda.
She grabs her notepad and a pencil
Luz: That was.. definitely not the one.
She crosses out the glyph on her notepad and labeling "NO" next to it
She picks up the petrified miniature Beefy Bob and it crumbles
(R.I.P Beefy Bob Born: 2020 - Died: 2022)
She shudders
Eda: What are you doing out here?
Scorpion: We started going through Philip Wittebane's diary again.
Luz: Since our trip with Lilith, We found out that a lot of his margin doodles were actually unfinished glyph combos.
Scorpion: We thought maybe they could help with the portal door but...
The monstrous claw rises again but is swallowed by Hooty
He grunts
Scorpion: no lucks.
Eda: Maybe it's for the best. I don't like that you're still thinking about that creep.
Luz: We know.
They curls up and pulls her hood up
Luz: We miss our mom.
He looks at Eda and points at Luz and Scorpion
He grunts
She kneels down
Eda: Let's take a break, huh?
[No response from Luz and Scorpion]
Eda: Maybe... I could tell you two... a story?
They instantly approaches Eda's face with a look of curiousness
They excitedly
Scorpion: Like a backstory kind of story?
Eda: Yes.
They its excitedly with King in her arms, him holding her echo mouse and Hooty circles around them
Hooty: Hoooooot!
Eda: This is the story of how I met the coolest, baddest, kick-buttiest witch of all time: Raine Whispers.
Flashback
Cut to Teen Eda holding a pack of flashcards in her hands; the first one says, "Things abominations probably shouldn't do." The second card says: "The Titan's five humors"
