CHARLIE DIDN'T AGREE WITH DEAN ON THIS, BUT HE NEEDED SOMEONE WHO SOMEWHAT knew what they were doing. So Charlie went with him, Crystal didn't know about this exact plan, but Charlie discovered his plans. He didn't have enough time to call Crystal but he had just enough to get into Deans car.
"I'm going, I get it, it's Sam, he's your brother, but if Crystal loose both of you. It won't be pretty. She's lost enough already." Charlie tells him getting.
"Why do you suddenly care so much about Crystal?" Dean asks him before beginning to drive Baby.
"She's my friend, and she understands how it feels like to loose a parent, watch them die. She gets it." Charlie tells him truthfully. Dean nods, while Sam was too young to remember their mothers death, Dean was still haunted by those memories. He can only imagine what Crystal felt and remembers, her being older and finding out Yellow Eyes was there for her.
Dean laid down, Charlie stares at him, ready to call for back up, down the block. The letter to Crystal rested inside his jacket, he hoped he wouldn't have to give it to her.
INSIDE BOBBY'S HOUSE DEAN TELLS SAM, CRYSTAL, BOBBY, AND CHARLIE THE DEAL. THE one Dean so stupidly made with Death.
Sam asks, "You what?!"
"Just hear me out." Dean tells them.
Sam says, "I heard Cas and Crowley when they said it would either kill me or turn me to jello, Dean! I heard enough!"
Dean tells him, "Death said he can put up a wall."
Sam and Crystal ask, "A wall?"
Dean says, "Yes, yes, a wall—that—that, basically, you wouldn't remember hell."
Sam asks, "Really?" Crystal looks surprised.
Dean says, "Really."
Sam asks, "For good? Like a cure?"
Dean says, "No, it's not a cure. It...He said it could last a lifetime."
Sam says, "Great. So, playing pretty fast and loose with my life here, don't you think, Dean?"
Dean tells him, "I'm trying to save your life!"
Sam says, "Exactly, Dean! It's my life! It's my life, it's my soul. And it sure as hell ain't your head that's gonna explode when this whole scheme of yours goes sideways!"
Bobby asks, "Just curious. I presume Death's not doing this out of the goodness of his heart."
