We are chilling out during the break time talking about our summer, we spent a lot of time together, Taehyun seemed so happy, I know he is still struggling but this summer he was shining.
We did so many things!
We went on trips together, we went to the beach, we went to pools, we did picnics, we spent whole nights together under the stars, it is the best time I've ever had.
But I also heard his mom screaming at him louder and louder, I could hear almost every word she said, the slaps and the thuds, it made me cry so bad, I was feeling miserable and knowing that was all directed to him was killing me inside.
Everytime something like that happens I walk in his room, I stay with him until he stops crying and he finally smiles again.
I was in his room almost everyday, but I had to go to the US for a couple of weeks and visiting my relatives.
"Hey guys! What did you do the weeks I was in America?" I ask them.
"I went to Jeju with Yeonjun, we always spend the summer together since my dad divorced" Says Soobin.
"By the way my 'step' mom moved with us two weeks ago and my 'step' brother was transferred here he's at the principal office for registration things" Says Soobin briefly.
<<You have a step mom and a step brother?! When you were going to tell us!?>> Asks Taehyun shocked.
"When it would be relevant?" Replies Soobin.
"Anyway... What did you do Hyunie?" I ask him.
<<I had a couple of week off of freedom from the abuse>> I hate when he uses sarcasm like that.
"Your skin got better!" Says Yeonjun.
<<Thanks... I missed you so much Hyuka, next time take me with you>> His puppy eyes are too irresistible for me, I can't help but smile.
"Okay you'll come with me next time, I missed you too" I kiss him on the cheek after making sure that our hyungs are covering us.
"Soobin! Soobin where were you at?" A boy asks him he's slightly taller than me and Taehyun and he has a huge mole near his lips, he already seems really energetic.
"Here! I told you before you left Beomgyu!" Replies Soobin "Ah he is my step brother Beomgyu" continues.
"Hi gays! Yes Soobin told me everything already! I'm Beomgyu nice to meet you all!" Says Beomgyu almost all in one breath.
"We finally meet! I'm Soobin's boyfriend, Yeonjun!" Greets Yeonjun.
"Oh! So you're the oldie! Got it!" We all laugh, while Yeonjun is annoyed.
<<I'm Taehyun! And this shy guy right here is my boyfriend Kai!>> I cover my face all red, it still feels new when he calls me boyfriend.
"Nice to meet you Beomgyu!" I say almost laughing.
"Oh so you two are the dumbies who took 7 years to realise you were in love with eachother!" Says Beomgyu again and we both look at eachother embarrassed.
<"Yes"> We say together.

We laughed a lot that day and Beomgyu started being in our group almost immediately, at the end we discovered that Soobin's parents divorced in the first year of middle school, Yeonjun helped him through that time and they started dating soon after.
Soobin's mom was single back then and she lived with his brother who is 6 years older while his sister already owned an apartment and was going to university.
Beomgyu's mom moved to Seoul to find a new life, later his dad and his older brother came here and Beomgyu's mom left Soobin's dad.
That year was really really weird, a lot of things happend in a really short time.
Both Yeonjun and Soobin grew a lot, Yeonjun was the same height as Beomgyu and after a summer he was the second tallest.
While Soobin became even taller than what he was, I was having really hard time looking at him while talking.
That was really fun.
