TW: Fighting. This is a long chapter, so strap in. Russian translations will be in brackets beside the language. (Sorry if it's incorrect, I don't speak Russian)
My feet carry me as I run behind Bucky and Steve through the streets, away from the man chasing us. T'Challa. He's here to take us in and blame us for the murder of his father. His claws shine in the sunlight, motivating me to run the souls off of my shoes. Sam flies above us all, trying to find an exit route, but not quickly enough.
Whilst running through traffic, Bucky and I see people driving through the cars on motorbikes, faster than anyone else. We nod at each other, run over to the group of men, and pull them both off of the bikes, placing them on the sidewalk, safely. We jump up on the motorbikes, swerving through the traffic and away from T'Challa. Steve, still on foot, is slowly getting further from Bucky and me, falling behind. I stop the bike and swerve to face sideways. Bucky continues driving, looking back at me confused.
"Hurry up!" I shout to Steve.
Steve picks up his pace, eventually making it to me. I grab him by his shoulders, throwing him on the back of the bike and revving up the engine, speeding away. Steve sits behind me, his arms around my waist and breathing heavily.
We all skid through the cars, trying to get away from T'Challa, who is increasingly getting closer to us. He jumps on top of cars, aiming for Bucky. When he makes it to him, he grabs Bucky by the back of his neck and throws him off of his bike, it driving through a wall. T'Challa chucks Bucky's body onto the floor, away from the traffic and me, but close to a group of closed trucks. I revved up my engine further, turning the handles to face Bucky, and stepped on the footrest, ready to drive closer to him.
"No!" Bucky raises his hand, shaking it. "Go. Leave, please!"
Out from the once-closed trucks, come swarms of guards, holding guns and a few of them with handcuffs. The guards grab Bucky by the arms, handcuffing him behind his back, and start pulling him closer to a truck. I turn my head to look at Steve behind me, seeing him watching the whole ordeal.
"If you want to run, now is the time." I make him look at me.
"No need. We're in this together. Always." He nods his head, telling me to do whatever I was thinking.
I turn the handles, starting up the engine again. I stomp on the footrests and begin driving closer to Bucky and the guards. Some of them notice this, and they shout at me to stop or slow down, but I continue. Just before we make it to Bucky, I reach behind me, grab Steve's shield that's strapped to his back, and pull it off. I wrap my arm around Steve's waist before jumping off of the bike, letting it drive ahead of us. I place the shield under my feet, sliding me and Steve along the concrete and towards the guards. Once we get to Bucky, I pull the shield up slightly, having it skid against the floor and eventually stopping. When we halt, the guards run over to us, wrapping our wrists with handcuffs. We don't struggle as they shove us into separate trucks, with Bucky and me in our own one.
