The Following Day...
Your POV

"Megan's here, mama," Justice said jumping in the bed to wake me up.

"Get off of me," I mumbled pushing her off of me. She whined laying on top of me and started poking my nose.

"I'm up, Justice," I said and sat up. She squealed as I playfully threw her off of me.

"Hurry up, mama. Megan is making breakfast," she replied before running out of my room. I went to the bathroom and did my morning routine. I walked the stairs to hear Justice and Megan talking. I stopped at the bottom of the stairs to listen to them.

"I did all that crying just for you to show up at the house," Justice told Megan, which made the older woman laugh.

"I'm sorry, lil bit. Something came up and I had to rush here," Megan explained before kissing the top of Justice's head.

"It's okay. I really missed you," Justice replied.

"I missed you more. Your mama told me that your mom had stopped by. How are you feeling about that?" Megan questioned.

"She apologized, so that's a start. I just really hope that she means it and isn't lying to me," Justice answered.

"Did you miss her?"

"I missed her a lot. I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive her all the way because it really hurt me when she chose Nathan over me again and again. I really just want to know why."

"Maybe she'll tell you the answer one day."

"Maybe. Can I tell you something?"

"What's up, baby?"

"I'm really happy that my mama has you."

"What made you say that?"

"My mama deserves love too. I'm happy that you love her and that you care for her as much as you do."

"I'm happy that your mama has given me a lot of chances. I wasn't always the best, but she's always given me another a chance. Even if I didn't deserve it. She's the love of my life and if she doesn't ask me to marry her, I'm going to ask her myself."

"You'd marry mama?"

"In a heartbeat," Megan answered genuinely. I walked into the kitchen to see them just hugging. Megan had Justice in her arms and Justice, being the cuddle bug she was, was just enjoying it.

"Megan, do you ever miss your parents?"

"All the time... all the time. I gotta take the cinnamon rolls out of the oven, lil bit," Megan told Justice, who groaned before wiggling out of the older woman's arms.

"Good morning," I shouted startling the two, who looked at me annoyed.

"Good morning, mama," Justice said and hugged my leg.

"Good morning, princess," I told her and leaned down to kiss her forehead. She let go of me before climbing onto a stool and turning on her iPad.

"What about me?" Megan questioned. I walked over and gave her a kiss.

"Good morning," I mumbled against her lips making her giggle.

"Good morning," she replied before kissing me again.

"Gross," Justice said in disgust, "kiss on your own time. I'm hungry."

"Please feed my little gremlin before she gets upset with us," I asked Megan, who laughed at me. Justice's iPad start ringing and judging from the ring tone, it was my mom. Justice eagerly answered the call
