Texas State University
Your POV

I was in Biology. I wasn't really paying attention because I was sleepy. I started dozing off, but someone threw a pen cap at me. The professor started calling our names for groups and I got stuck with the four most obnoxious people to ever exist.

"Y/N, are you listening?" I heard someone ask and I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, what's up?"

"We're going over the project, so stop zoning out," my group member said in a rude tone of voice.

"No shit, Sherlock. Kinda the point of the group," I said rolling my eyes.

"Y/N, all you have to do is put the slides together. We've got everything else."

"Yeah, sure. Whatever. Y'all can eat a dick," I mumbled as I got up to leave. I walked out of the class and groaned at how hot it was. Someone bumped into me knocking my laptop out of my hands into the sidewalk and I knew it was broken. I was ready to get angry until I saw who it was.

"Shit, my bad. I'm really sorry," Megan said and I waved it off.

"It's fine. What are you doing on campus anyways, superstar?" I asked her.

"Y/N?" she asked looking at me.

"I don't look that much different, do I?" I asked.

"You look a lot different."

"I guess. You still haven't answered my question."

"I just came to drop off some work while I'm in the city," she replied.

"Oh, don't let me hold you up. Go ahead," I said as I picked up my shattered laptop.

"Wait, you should come to my show tonight," she said to me.

"I have work to do."

"If you're still the same person I remember, then you should definitely come because you never get out of the house."

"Good thing people change. You should know a lot about that."

"Y/N, we were young and it was years again."

"And still have the same attitude like I did you wrong."

"Look, I gotta go. Please come to the show and we can talk after it."

"I'll think about it."

"My number is still the same," she said before kissing my cheek and speed walking to wherever she had to go. I pulled out my phone and called my mom.

"Ma, I need a new laptop," I told her and she groaned.

"What happened this time?"

"Someone bumped into me and it fell out of my hands," I replied. I didn't her it was Megan because she would've gone crazy. She didn't like Megan after what had happened."

"I'll tell your dad to buy you another one. I'll call you when he gets back."

"Okay, momma. I'll talk to you when I get home," I told her.

"Okay, bye," she hung up too fast for me to say anything else. I sighed and put my phone in my pocket. I walked to my car and got my keys out of my bag. I unlocked the door and got in. I drove home. I stayed a good thirty minutes away from school, which I didn't mind because that meant I didn't have to deal with other students. I lived by myself. When my grandpa died, he left me all his money. So I moved out and bought my own house when I was only eighteen. I didn't buy some gigantic mansion. Just a simple two story house was all I needed.  My mom didn't know where I stayed because honestly she didn't really care and was still mad my grandpa left me all of his money.  I was ready to shower and go to sleep. I didn't even want to eat. I drive home in silence, so that's how I knew I was tired. I had finally got home and was ready to just pass out on the sofa, but I had to let my dog out to go pee.
