Me and Liam walked upstairs to his room, quiet, no talking. But not the awkward quiet you get when you've run out of things to say, but the peaceful quiet that's beyond enjoyable. As we walked I kept stealing glances at the tall boy next to me. He would look down and smile at me but look away when someone said hi or we passed one of the many fish tanks all hospitals seem to have. For those few moments I look into his eyes, I see he still doesn't believe. Believe that he'll get his memory back or that he's Liam Payne, boy who has an amazing voice, sold two albums, and girls who've fallen in love with him all around the world, his face plastered on every wall.
We finally get to his room and sit down on his bed. I open my bag, crossing my legs and placing my laptop on the table I created. I tried to think to think of some song we've played in awhile and chose something from before his one direction days. I clicked the link to his first X-Factor audition when he was 14 and turned the computer to face him.
Liam sighed like always and grabbed the laptop off my lap and placed it on his own. He stared at the screen getting the look he always did, trying to look for some shred of memory that had sneaked out of the prison cell of thoughts tucked away. The video stopped and I looked at Liam. He continued to look at the screen. He looked up and me and I could already tell.
"Nothing?" I asked.
He shook his head and laid back on the pillow staring at the ceiling. I sighed and grabbed my laptop again. I decide to check Twitter, Ever since the incident at the cafe, I haven't looked. The trends on the side seemed to slowly ignore me and were now focused on Justin Bieber. I didn't pay much attention. I check Liam's page and the fans were all hoping and wishing him luck.
I hear a familiar melody and lyrics being sung. I hummed along with Moments and continued to scroll down, loving the fans for their love, when I stopped. I looked at the tabs open, none of them having to do with youtube or music. I shut off the group of windows completely thinking it maybe a commercial. Nope, the song continued to play. I looked at my phone thinking my music turned itself on. Again nothing. I looked up, giving up on my electronics and saw Liam, still looking up at the ceiling but his lips were moving. I finally heard that it was only one voice singing the parts.
I let him finish the song and looked at ceiling a bit longer before noticing I was staring at him.
"What?" He asked chuckling sitting up.
"Nothing. I thought I saw something. Question though."
"Hit me"
"Um, What song was that?"
He looked at me questioningly "What?"
"The song you were just singing"
"Oh. Um. Moments."
"Mhmm. Okay Second question. How does it go?"
Liam raised his eyebrow but shrugged his shoulder and sung the first verse. "Hows that?" He asked after finishing.
"Lovely. Last question. Maybe. Um. Who sings it?"
"One direction. Kat? whats up?
"Um. Well. 1. Your an amazing singer. 2. Your in one direction"
Liam was still confused so I grabbed his shoulders shaking them slightly.
"Liam! You remembered the Lyrics!"
He stopped, quiet for only a second before jumping out of bed.
"I remembered! I remembered!" He jumped around happily as I laughed grinning widely. Liam stopped and grabbed my hands pulling me up. Despite the song being a slow meaningful song and Liam sang it like an angel, he spun me around and we danced happily.
We finally calmed down a bit. Liam stopped and pulled me into a hug, I was not expecting.
"Thank you." He said
"For what?"
"For believing in me." He pulled back a little and looked into my eyes. I melted, like I used to when I looked at a picture of him but that was nothing compared to looking at the real things. He leaned down gently and paused a second before gently pressing his lips to mine. My eyes widen amazed and confused by what was going on. Liam finally pulled away and looked at me again. His mouth opened to say something when I heard a sound like a cough behind us.
I turn around and face... Niall.
"Niall.. What are you doing here? I thought you were going to signings?"
"We were but something happened at one of the places and they sent us back here... So I thought about checking on you two.. See your friendly... I got to go." He turned on his heel and left the room, face slightly red.
I leaned to go after him, but turned back to Liam. " I got to talk to him."
Liam nodded letting go of me. I raced out of the room running down the hall tying to find the blond Irish.
