This has literally nothing to do with the story line so far. I just wanted a cute Christmas chapter!
. . .
Laughter filled the room.
"God, Cariño, it really isn't that funny." A deep red blush spread across his face like strawberry jam on toast. "It's just a headband.""You look so adorable, Q." I leaned over the cashier's counter top, a sly smile plastered on my face. "Just looking at you is getting me into the Christmas spirit."
"That's what it's supposed to do, dumbass."Alex rolled his eyes and quickly turned his back to me and walked away from the counter, making the bells on his reindeer horns jingle, causing me to burst into a fit of giggles once more.
I had gotten the better end of the "Christmas Spirit" stick and only had to wear a Santa hat. It was a tradition to wear holiday stuff on Christmas which came along with new aprons. Quackity's looked like a gingerbread cookie and mine looked like an elf.
The café went all out during the holidays. A wreath hung at the entrance, a mini tree sat on the counter top, and the store constantly smelt of pine trees or peppermint (thanks to the candles).
I stifled my laughs and joined him behind the counter as a soft ding! came from the door.
It was a mother and her son. The woman looked immensely stressed as the little boy jumped around the entrance of the café.
"Um, hi. Can I get a black coffee, please? With a hint of honey. And a hot chocolate."
Quackity nodded his head and mumbled, writing it down on his notepad, "...café negro con miel y chocolate caliente..."I smiled at her with sympathy, "To stay or to go? And can I have a name for this order?"
"Susan for to go, thank you." She sighed, rubbing her eyes and grabbing her toddlers hand. She took him to the back of the café.
"I really do pity parents this time of year." Quackity ripped the paper out of his pad. He looked up at me. "You know how to make hot chocolate, right?"
I scoffed. "Do you think I'm a child?"
"You sure do act like one." Q walked towards the coffee machine, leaving the ringing of bells in his wake.I giggled, heading to the cabinet to grab some ingredients, "It's really hard to take you seriously when every time you move, you jingle." I grabbed a box of hot chocolate from a shelf.
"Shut up, will you?"
I heard the old coffee maker turn on.
I chuckled to myself, grabbing sugar off of a shelf. I walked over to a fridge and took milk, whipped cream and marshmallows. I began to make the hot chocolate, the scent of rich chocolate, strong coffee, and sickeningly sweet sugar filled the air.
I shook the whipped cream bottle, spraying a cute spiral of cream on top of the drink.
I carefully carried it over to the serving counter then wandered over to Q.
I wrapped my hands on his hips, resting my chin on his head.He sighed, placing the lid of the coffee on the cup.
"¿Puedes dejar de ser molesto, puta?"
(Can you stop being annoying, whore?)"I'm choosing to believe you complimented me."
"We both know I didn't."
Quackity shrugged me off (with great difficulty) and walked to the serving counter."Order for Susan!"
The woman rushed over to us, quickly grabbing her coffee and handing the sugar deprived kid his drink. She spared us a strained smile and left two dollars in the small glass tip jar.
"Come again!" Q said as we watched them leave.
We both sighed.
"Hey Wil?"
"Yep?"
"You know how to make gingerbread cookies? My parents want to add it to the menu for a seasonal thing and I've never made them by myself before."
"I have no clue.""Guess we'll have to learn together."

I poked the slightly burnt ginger bread cookies.
"They look edible.""Thank God." He smiled at me, "Third times the charm, right?"
I snorted, "At this point, anything would look editable compared to that first batch. How the fuck did you mistake baking soda for sugar? It has the name on the package."
"Be quiet, Cariño. Don't act like yours were any better. You were too heavy handed with the salt.""At least they looked fit for human consumption..."
Q socked me in arm. I swore, shoving him back.He rolled his eyes. "C'mon, let's taste them before we decorate them."
I picked up the least burnt looking cookie and took a bite. The ginger was rich but it was nicely contrasted with the sugar in the cookie. It was thick and chewy with a velvety texture.
Q was grinning. "Hey, it actually taste good!"
"We make a great team, hey?"
Q huffed. "I'll give you this one, Cariño. We did a great job."
I smirked. "Together."Q slyly smiled back at me. "Yeah, together."

A/N: Hey guys! Merry (almost) Christmas! This'll most likely be the last Cariño chapter of the year but maybe I'll finish this new chapter before then. If not, Happy New Year!
