Hoseok's eyes were blinking numerous times, controlling his tears back to his sockets but it was not helping him. He saw his mom and her parents talking to the doctors. He didn't move any inches from his place, but his eyes fixated on them like they should be saying something he wanted to hear or it should be out of his sight.
He saw his mom turning back to him and that's when his breath hitched, feeling a huge sting in his heart that he never had before in his entire life. The mixed feeling of fear and angst. The fear of losing someone who he imagined the rest of his life with.
Feeling his tears falling down his puffy cheeks, he didn't take his eyes off his mom. He saw his mom walking towards him and he unconsciously stood up on his feet, staring at his mom.
"Don't cry, Hoba," she said, wiping his cheeks. But the more she did, the more he cried. He was sniffing in tears and she couldn't able to witness it.
"She needs some time, Hobi. Let us wait, okay?" she said but Hoseok shook his head no. "Just pray for her, she will be fine," she said but Hoseok was just shaking his head no. He couldn't able to take this at all.
That was when YN's parents' turned to Hoseok. They don't know what to utter after seeing this boy getting terrified more than them. Not sharing any words with him, they walked towards one of the seats and they seated quietly as they were as speechless as Hoseok.
"Do you want to talk to them?" Hoseok's mom asked him. He instantly shook his head as a no. She sighed as she went back to the doctor's room. She wanted to make sure that everything is going fine and that she was ready to bring any doctors to treat YN.
He moved to the door of the room where she put in. Holding his tears back, he watched her struggling for her life. He has never gone heartbroken like this. Seeing her away from him was enough to make his heart into pieces.
He waited for hours. He waited for her to respond. He waited for the doctors to say something about her. But they just asked to wait.
He couldn't believe his patience, he really waited without any further questions. He just wanted her to come back fine and healthy. That was all he cared for.
After a few hours, the doctor talked to YN's parents and Hoseok's eyes didn't leave them. There was a slight smile on their lips, making him relief. But he wants to hear it himself. He went to the door and saw her sleeping with all those machines around her.
He just stared at her until there was a hand placed on his shoulder. He turned back and saw YN's dad in front of him.
"Let's go and see her," he said and Hoseok's eyes widened. He stood there not responding.
"Hobi, let us all see her, open the door, we can't stay there for a long time though," Hoseok's mom spoke and that's when he came back from the trance. He quickly nodded before opening the door.
They all went inside and for each and every step, Hoseok's heart was beating rapidly. He never wished to witness such a scene in front of him and it happened.
He waited in the corner while every one of them took a closer look at her. Her parents cried as she was going through a lot right now. His father gave a peck on her forehead and Hoseok's eyes dropped a tear. They stared at her for a few moments and YN's mom turned to Hoseok.
"Let's wait outside for him," as she said, her parents went outside. Hoseok's mom looked at them and turned to him. She wiped his tear and went outside while Hoseok was still standing at the end of the bed, in front of her feet.
He doesn't know what to do. He was going crazy and he wished he should be there instead of her.
Not thinking anymore seconds, he leaned as he hugged her feet and cried on her. He buried his face on her feet as if he was begging for her to come back. He couldn't understand what he was doing but that was all he could do right now.
He was devastated to the point, that he thought he would never recover back.
He cried on her for a few minutes, until the doctor came inside the room. The concern showed in the doctor's eyes and he asked him to stay outside for a while.
Nodding to him, Hoseok came out but his eyes didn't leave YN. He stood there, staring at her with his bawling eyes.
