The next morning I was alone, I was sure Reagan had fallen asleep in Lilith's bed after her night. I decided to walk out of the room even though I only had my sleepwear on, which was a robe. I tiptoed through the huge castle to find Lilith's room. I opened the door and saw the bed.

I approached it and noticed them both sleeping next to each other. I smiled, they were cute together. I am glad they could be intimate without me, they were on good terms as far as I knew and it made me happy how far they had come in such a short time. I crawled into bed and lay in between them, enjoying both of their company.

Lilith woke up first, she saw me close to her and smiled, she wrapped her arms around me, and I noticed the lack of clothing. "Did you help Reagan last night?" I had asked. She nodded. "Were you too upset to take care of it?" She asked.

"Yes, I finally meet her after all this time and then we are separated again." She brought the back of her hand to my cheek and stroked it, it soothed me a bit and made me rather relaxed. "I will see what I can do." I nodded. I hoped she would be able to do something. 300 was a lot, I will admit that myself.

Lilith took me in her arms and laid my head on her chest. She was watching the clock. It was 8 in the morning, that is when we usually woke up, at least when Lilith had no work. Another meeting would happen, where they would vote on what the new rules will be. I never asked Lilith if she managed to convince this Amira person to vote for that.

Reagan had begun stirring around in her bed as well, she stretched her body. She turned to us and noticed that I was laying there too. She scooted closer and cuddled me from behind. "Did you have a fun night?" I asked her. She hummed.

"Give me the details." Lilith pinched my arm. "Ow!" I yelled in pain and put my hand around the area where it hurt.

"That is between me and Reagan, I will not tolerate your perverted behavior." I pouted and rubbed my arm then turned around to face Reagan instead. Her lips were in a thin firm line which meant she was not sharing anything with me either.

After that Lilith got ready for the meeting, we also accompanied her in our wolf form. We followed after her and as we walked I licked Reagan in the face, she liked that and did the same back. 

All seats were occupied, only Lilith's were empty. We sat behind her, I wanted to have a good look at them all and hopefully intimidate them a bit in the process. Lilith stroked my head while she listened to the others discuss the topic. It was finally time for the final vote, i was scared that we would not win, how could they kill so many wolves? Did they have no remorse or empathy for other people or creatures?

"Those for the new law raise your hand." I looked at Amelia and luckily she did not have her hand raised. We would win!

"Those against. Raise your hand." The rest raised theirs, including Lilith of course. There were a couple of seconds of silence as the man counted the votes and wrote it down on a piece of paper.

"The results are here, 7 people voted for, while 6 voted against. The new law will be set in two months from now." My heart dropped. What did he mean by that? Amelia voted against it, how did they have more votes than us? Something must not be right. Someone had changed their mind. Lilith looked down at me with apologetic eyes. "I am sorry." She mouthed.

"Are you insane? What about my business? It will go to dirt, you idiots care about no one but yourselves!" Cassandra yelled while hitting her fist on the table. That was ironic coming from her. Lilith was the only one who cared for us. Anger grew within me. I wanted to snarl, bite, kill those bastards.

"Will you put up with this? Your family, friends, and pack will all die!" Cassandra screamed at me like a mad woman. She mirrored the emotions I felt, I wanted to lash out and scream at them like she did. Everyone's gazes were focused on me. What did I have to do with this? I was told by Lilith not to speak or make sound but it was hard. 

The man in the middle sighed. "The decision has been made, the majority wanted the law and now we are setting it." I saw Cassandra clench her jaw just the way Lilith did when she was upset or angry. She sat down in her seat and glared at the others. I did the same.

When the meeting was over I walked beside Lilith, I wanted to rip out their throats and make them suffer. I had never killed a person, but I would have no problem killing those who voted for the new laws. It was our last day there, I was so glad to be out of the once and for all.

We followed Lilith to her room since our clothes were there. I turned back instantly and hid under the covers of her bed. I knew If I had stood there longer I would have broken or punched something. I felt a hand on my shoulder, I peeped out of the covers and was face to face with Lilith.

She gave me the same apologetic smile she gave me hours before. "I am sorry, sweetheart." She rubbed my shoulder and hugged me. Reagan did the same, she was also sad about the situation, I could feel it. However, she was quiet about it all.

Lilith had to leave for some business shortly after before we could leave and go home. Reagan and I sat in silence, what was there to say? We would lose loved ones, that was for sure. This was genocide, a crime greater than anything else and no one did anything or cared. These vampires were too deep in their own hatred and savagery.

We were both just waiting for Lilith to get us out of there and forget it all, but I knew it would be impossible to forget.

She entered the room and told us to come with her. The carriage was ready for us in the courtyard. To my surprise, my mother was sitting in our carriage. I looked at Lilith who had a wide smile on her face. "She is coming with us." She confirmed. I jumped into the carriage and hugged my mom. Oh, how happy I was that she was there with me.

We arrived at the manor, I wonder who ran the place when both Lilith and Dione were gone. I had not seen much of Dione on our trip. We were greeted by maids who took our luggage. My mother looked at Lilith's home. She seemed pleased with it.

"Ella, give her a room." She told the maid. She bowed and brought my mom with her. I went back to my own room and put my clothes back in place. I was in my maid uniform and decided to change into a blue dress. I went to see how my mother was doing.                      

I showed her around and she was very pleased with the place, she told me it was cozy and much better than living in the middle of a city. "So this is where you have been staying for the past months hm? You were lucky to have ended up in such a place." I assumed she had seen a couple of things that she did not want to tell me about.

"I know, this place is like a home to me now. I like living here." I spoke as I graced the decorated wall of the lounge. I looked outside, it was sunny and green. My mother hummed. 

"We get meals 3 times a day and we can have as much as we want." I couldn't keep in my excitement. So much better than the mines. I felt bad for the people who still had to work there, I wondered what the girl I frequently spoke to when I worked there was doing now.  "That is great, but we have been separated for far too long, care to tell me the whole story after we were... attacked?" 

I sat down next to her and told her everything, it was not a lot of information and I had to stop myself from revealing that Lilith was my mate. She told me she was sold to the man with the black hair, she would clean, tend to the small garden he had, and make food. I am glad it was just that.
