"Please complete these questions on the board please." said Ms. Kim after she has explained the last Function on the chalk board
(Y/N) pulled herself out of the day dream that she was just stuck in, and decided to join the real world and force herself to get her...crush off her mind. Usually (Y/N) was quite good at focusing in class - but with Kim Minji sitting at the desk next to her, she found it a little difficult. Especially when Kim Minji kept on stealing side glances at her.
(Y/N) cleared her throat (maybe a little loud since Hanni turned around slightly and wiggled her eyebrows at (Y/N)), and cracked on with the set of questions on the board. She was doing well for the first five questions - but that was when Minji suddenly put a yellow Post-it-Note on Hanni's back. (Y/N) squinted at the note, which she then realised said 'Bbang Hanni, you eating bread?'. Smiling, (Y/N) turned to Minji and gave her a thumbs up. The girl felt her heart rate jump when Minji smiled widely at her.
'Now I won't be able to focus.'
Soon, the long morning of Mathematics was over and the six girls walked out the classroom. (Y/N) lagged slightly behind, watching a Hanni discovered the teasing note on her back. Hyein started to laugh at Hanni's confused facial expression, Danielle was smiling so wide it looked like her face would snap in half, Haerin was just standing there with a blank look ((Y/N) needed to ask Haerin to teach her how to keep such a straight face), and Minji...?
Minji stood next to (Y/N), also observing their little group of friends. The two turned to each other, making eye contact.
'Minji has pretty eyes...well she also has a pretty face, pretty voice, she's smart-'
"...Earth to (Y/N)?"
"Ah!" exclaimed the day dreaming girl. Minji had her hand on (Y/N)'s bicep, slightly squeezing it, her captivating brown eyes burning a hole into (Y/N). She glanced and realised that the others had gone, probably to the tuck shop to grab some snacks.
"Do you want to go and get some food?"
(Y/N) could only nod, too embarrassed to say anything.
'Shit, she caught me daydreaming. Hanni will definitely make fun of me later.'
Minji grabbed (Y/N)'s hand in hers and pulled her along - breaking into a brisk walk as the two weaved through the many students at their high school. Soon, they started to run. With smiles on their faces, they sped past Ms. Kim and Mr. Park.
"KIM MINJI! SON (Y/N)! NO RUNNING!"
They only laughed in response.
Watching every motion in my foolish lover's game
On this endless ocean, finally lovers know no shame
Turning and returning to some secret place inside
Watching in slow motion as you turn around and say
Take my breath away
"Damn guys, what took you so long?" queried Hyein when the duo came rushing up the stairs and to the roof.
Still holding hands with Minji, (Y/N) grabbed the sweet Hanni was about to eat. Ignoring her best friends protests, (Y/N) sent a smirk at Minji as she popped the sweet in her mouth. Rustling could be heard as Haerin produced a bag of hard boiled sweets from God-knows-where. Pulling her hand away, (Y/N) went over to Haerin to beg for some of the fruit flavored sweets. The sudden loss of warmth from Minji's hand startled her, she still wanted to hold (Y/N)'s hand...
Hanni did not miss the miffed look that passed by on Minji's face.
