I woke up on the floor of an unknown location. I sit up and suddenly remember everything: Owen being in trouble, that man lying to me, and being stabbed with that needle. Ugh, it still hurts. I look around, and surprisingly, the room is not dark but lit. There are various sacks and people; around the area. Looks like they are sleeping. Well, one good thing so far: a possibility of getting out, hopefully.
"If you are thinking of escaping, include me, please," says a male voice that sounds a lot like Owen.
"Who are you? I'm really not in the mood to help strangers, especially male strangers. So whatever you want, don't let me stop you because I can't help you," I mutter, annoyed.
"All I want is to escape but it seems the truck is slowing down, which means we are most likely there. And babe, it's me, your boyfriend, Owen."
"Oh, I didn't know it was you. What happened that got us captured and taken to this truck?" I ask, turning to face him.
"It's a long story. We should act like we haven't spoken, okay?" he almost whispers.
"Wake up, you lazy bones! You have work to do, NOW!" a voice barks.
"We're coming, ugh." I say, getting out of the truck.
"No backtalk, young lady!" a man says, about to hit me.
"Hey Liam, she's the special one, you knucklehead." Another man resembling an officer says, hitting the other guy upside of the head hard.
"Please ignore him, he's a little wack in the head," he says dryly. "Come with me; my friend will bring your boyfriend."
"Where are we going? Last time I checked, everything has been wack since I awoke in a cellar a few days ago. I found out I am a princess, I got a boyfriend, and on top of that, I am turning 18 tomorrow," I say, annoyed, while following him.
"Oh, well that changes things a bit. We thought you were younger, I will have a talk with your father. He said that you were about to turn 16."
"Wait, my Dad? Everybody told me he was dead." I say, suddenly curious.
"You will be in your father's arms soon," he says.
After going through seemingly endless halls, we come to a door. It looks like it belongs to someone very important. The man knocks on the door.
"Come in, I wish to finally meet my daughter after all these years." A male voice says from inside. The door opens and a man is standing there.
"I missed you Rebecca," he says as he hugs me. I wonder how he knows my full name?
"I missed you too, Dad." I say, meaning it, as I hug him back, knowing that it's him without even having to think about it.
