PART 38: EPILOUGE

It's been five years since Paul proposed, that Christmas Day. We got married in July later that year. I can still remember everything from that day. The way Paul smiled at me the whole time I walked down the aisle. The colors that surrounded us, the sounds of my mom and sister crying, at my new happiness. All of my best friends, surrounded me that day. Lyle flew down from school to be there. I never thought I would be happier than I was that day. Until I found out in May, Paul and I were having a baby. Nine months later out first little boy was born. Marco Daniel Zimmer our Valentine baby, named after his Uncle Danny. Three years later, I was pregnant again. Another little boy. Ryder Joseph Zimmer, was born.

Nate was released from jail, a few months after Paul and I got married. I was going for a run one day, when I saw him standing on his driveway. Boxes were being packed into his truck. His mom stood on the edge of the driveway wiping her eyes. She looked over at me, hate filled her eyes. Nate turned and saw me, before quickly climbing into his truck and driving away. I don't know where he is now, I just hope he isn't hurting another girl.

Paul and Danny still tour and travel frequently. They're on their first world tour right now. It's been hard having to take care of two little ones by myself, but it's worth it everytime Paul comes home to us. I live in Texas close to home, so my family can see the boys. I'm still teaching at the dance studio. I haven't been able to dance as much. I work on choreography, and teaching younger ones to dance.

I never thought I would get a happily ever after. I felt hopeless, and alone. Paul helped me see the worth in me. Some scars have faded off of me. The ones that remain though, don't dictate my life anymore. The scars remind me who I am.
